It's done. Justice? Politics. But, done. Entire lifetime for my kids. All they knew was the spill & its impact upon our livlihood. We lost everything & fortunately were able to start over midlife. Not all were able to do so. Now, perhaps our permit loan (State of Alaska) will be mostly paid off...but we are still paying the price of one man's alcoholism, one company's HR choices, and the lack of appropriate and timely response by the spill response team.

I poked around the World Wide Wonder to find out "the rest of the story" Im glad there is closure. The justice from what I read was minimal ..infact another source quoted someone in saying: "The new law made by the court should have been left to Congress," and with the Supreme Court becoming more receptive to limiting punitive damages Im beginning to wonder what really did go on behind those doors ... oh well .. I hope this station and many others covering this story uncovers what REALLY happend ..

It's total crap! I'm sure the expenses and losses of the victims livelihoods in the spill total more than a measly $15,000. Especially when you add inflation and rising cost of living over the past 20 years!!!! 20 years????? Come on, what does the legal system do all day that it would take 20 years to decide this case????? Total crap!
