No disrespect...but these men where not great guys. Both were well known drug dealers with a long history of crime. The most recently deceased, Steve Patterson, was released from prison just a few months prior to this.

Pray all you want but will it help anything? Probably not. Nothings wrong with the water in Lenoir. Both of these guys were street level dope dealers running with their wannabe rapper friends that are just as useless as they were. They were both in and out of prison, never working, running hustles and living off someone else's dime. They both chose the wannabe gangsta lifestyle and both died young violent deaths just like most gangsta's do. Thug life seldom lasts very long. There is no place for sorrow they lived there dream.

she had been beat up by him even had a restraining order against him. here he went back to her house she shot but she did not shoot too kill . she was in icu -in hickory when she was arrested because she had tried to kill herself there was a warrant for his arrest for beating her badly. but afterr she tried to kill herself caldwell co waited until she was ok then went arrested her in icu... she never meant to kill him she was only defending herself from a previous beating he had warrants awaiting on him for. so dont be so quick to throw judgement .

Tell that to a judge and see just how far it gets you.
They got witness's that say he wasn't beating her when she shot him. You can't shoot somebody today for beating your ass the other day and call it self defence.

When you have a restraining order against the person, a history of violence, and a reasonable fear of what a person may do AND one shot which was not meant to be lethal --- a good lawyer could work with this.

I didn't know either party(there is bad and good in most people) and I do not know what happened that day so I'm just saying --- violation of the restraining order (a crime) could be perceived as a threat.

No matter what - a man is dead and a woman's life will never be the same.

You also know that to my knowledge nobody except some anonymous topix poster has said that there was a restraining order. Maybe I just missed it or something but I'm pretty sure the Channel 3, 9, and 36 news would have been all over that. I'm sure that if it is really the truth you can show us a link to it.

$10,000 bucks and a good lawyer like Joe Delk and you walk on a deal like this.
