Well aren't you special!!!! Someone get the Golden Twinkie Award and provide it to this one special person. I think you are out numbered on here Special One. No matter where you go, no one should have to plan and take a picnic lunch and spend an entire day waiting on an office who needs clocks and timers. If you all love everyone so much, hoe about taking a photo of all your patients and place them up and down the halls. BUT!!! Don't do this during office hours. Remember when report cards had "Spends Time Wisely" - I have to say you do not. I was there 3 times and just never went back because it's beyond unprofessional. One younger Nurse was on the phone yelling at her kids and evidently a Diamond? Must be her cat or pet who knows, Just zero unprofessional etiquette. If you are sick who wants to hear the nurse yelling over the phone to problems at home? I knew someone who went there, checked in, left and went to get tires put on and came back and continued to wait another hour before going back to waiting room number 2. I told him when he came back that he hadn't been called yet, he just laughed. While waiting he mentioned he should have gotten a car wash before coming back. No other Dr's office practices this way. This is a zoo. What my experience was, waiting room 1 time served -2 hours. Waiting Room 2 - 1 hour. Exam room, final destination, 1 hour. If you need lab work, you're screwed. Back to waiting room 2 and then back to the exam room for another hour. I remember one visit it was sunny when I went into this office and by the time I left, snow was falling and dark outside. All I had was a sinus infection. I didn't think I was ever going to leave that day/night.
Like I said then by all means leave. Apparently there are lots of satisfied people or there would not be a wait like that. The next time you see someone having a heart attack tell them to make an appointment to have one because it might cut into the time you have to gripe on topix.

I did leave babygirl -that's why I recommended Dr. Gould. Thanks for the sweet post you put up. Dr Guerra is my dear friend, he will love your remark. Its so warm and inviting.

When you said Diamond, I knew who you were talking about immediately. And yep, I definately agree. Many I have seen in the waiting room have been young and have had huge bags full of pill bottles. I can't help but feel that it's either a matter of drug seeking or emotional clingy people. I go to a doctor for my health, not to set up housekeeping and make the staff part of my family.

Has anyone else here had a bad experience with this office? I am not longer a patient but I want to know if anyone else doesn't like the doctors in this facility. Thanks.
I knew I remembered someone asking if "ANYONE" had a bad experience here. List your experience and you are more or less crucified. Gotta love the Caldwell County mentality.

Just an observation : My screen name is FORMER PATIENT not PRESENT PATIENT. I moved years ago but thank you for inviting me to leave present employee. Tis so kind of you. Is the rest of the staff this wonderful? Don't take it personally it's business. Would you like to go to Walmart or Belk and wait 4 hours just to purchase one thing?? The wait is terrible, even Mark knows this.

I agree with you "GONE" I think alot of those people love being on all the medicines they are carrying in recycled grocery bags and will do whatever it takes to wait all day to insure those are refilled. Really does someone need more than 12 bottles of medication? I notice that several leave with recycled grocery bags packed full of samples enough to put a horse into a coma. I'd be afraid to go back there now and leave with a grocery bag full of medicines, especially the way things are in this county with so many hooked on everything they can find. Mark is an excellent Doctor but there are many here in Caldwell. It's business, not personal.

I'm also wondering about experiences with the doctors. I like one or two in that office and some of the staff members are great but there are some that I question how they've had their jobs. Not naming names but really now..

I am not an employee. I and my whole family are patients. I also have a friend who is in her early 20's who almost died about bout 3 months ago. After the ER had released her multiple times. She had an urgent need went over there, the person that took her called while she was on her way there and they meet her at the door. She was on deaths door, was stabilized, brought back to life and transported to Frye where she spent a while in the hospital. This was less than 6 hrs after Caldwell Er sent her home. Guess what she had heart complications and it should have been caught at Caldwell. Her whole family recognizes without Dr. Guerra she would have died and did that day. But thanks to him she is alive. Oh by the way I'm sure the wait was 4 hrs that day since he was to busy saving a life.

it's pretty simple. the person starting this thread asked for experiences and opinions from the community. there was no request for "praise" postings, but expression of each of our experiences with the practice.

I'm over the moon for you that you love the practice down there-good for you. Not everyone feels the same way, and not everyone stuck around
to continue in the insanity.

Comprehension seems to be an issue in Caldwell County. Thank you for pointing out what the objective of this post consisted. Not going anywhere evidently LOVES their Dr's office. But I question the employee status. I applaud you for being one of the brighter students who paid attention in class.

I don't understand why people get defensive toward people who have opposite opinions. It's not like any of us are in charge of Hallmark and calling for an employee lay off or shutting the doors.
We are simply people who were not pleased with the service we received down there and chose to leave. Pretty simple to me.

If this happened to your friend, I am glad she received the care she needed. I can't help but have my doubts though as they advised me multiple times to go to the hospital ER or call EMS if I felt I was in an emergency state. I've never heard of Hallmark telling anyone to stop there to be revived on their way to the next ER. That would be too big of a chance for them being sued if the patient died.

I'm not saying it didn't happen the way you said it happened, I'm saying I have doubts.

I agree it's a stretch and a could have been a major claim for the MedMal Liability Insurance should something have happened. She's lucky they were nice enough to help whomever in her life, but not me -my mother was sent away despite who I know there. Heaven forbid I explained what happened to my mother being sent away in her condition. I need to discuss this posting on here with Mark btw.

Anyone want the real truth? The office is overbooked for 2 reasons.#1greed #2ego. They believe they are the only ones in the county who do a good job, and all other doctors around are idiots. There is ABSOLUTELY no regard for the patients comfort, wait time, or cost of ordering expensive tests. I have seen over 10 patients booked for the same 10 minute appointment. The patients are brainwashed into believing that Dr. Guerra "saved their life."
As for the "emergencies", those may just be somebodys neighbor being seen first while you wait, even if it's just a back ache he's had for 3 weeks.
All the employees complain about the wait time, but its just the way Dr. Guerra wants it. Otherwise he would change it.

I am sorry but if she was that bad off, then she needed to go to hospital not a dr office...

My mother was turned away from Hallmark in August 2010 when her BP was through the roof to the point she was minutes from having a heart attack. Hallmark advised my dad to take her to Urgent Care because she wasn't a patient. How does a caring doctors office turn away someone minutes away from a heart attack? How does one become a patient if they don't go into the office? Walk ins aren't always welcomed -just ask mom. The Urgent Care Dr. called an ambulance to transport my mother to FRYE REGIONAL within 2 seconds of seeing her BP numbers. EMS was terrified she'd have the heart attack before they entered the ER at FRYE. Happy Valley Medical Center also turned her away earlier that day. They haven't been the same since my neighbor Dr Page left. Mom hadn't had a need for a Dr since Dr. Carswell retired. THANKFULLY she survived -the BP was lowered and she did not have a heart attack. Mom is now a patient of Dr Gould who has also put her on a special diet and she is down 45 pounds. Did this really happen? YES just ask my Minister Dad who pleaded for Hallmark to help his wife. Mom isn't one to run to the Dr every runny nose or cough. Hence, the time since Dr. Carswell retired until August 2010. Had I known her BP was through the roof and that 2 Dr's office had turned her away, I would have immediately sent her to Dr. Gould that day. But I wasn't told anything until the call from Frye Hospital. I do want to stree this: I have complete respect for Dr. Guerra, I always will. He's diagnosed so many cases that most would miss completely. Its the office wait/day event that is a turn off for many. Some can endure an all day event many of us not on the. I am here to tell you -there is 1 walkin that wasn't seen and almost died. Dr. Gould will not turn anyone away, is a solo practioner and yet no one has ever waited for him hours on end in the lobby. When you leave his office -you look down at your watch and you then have to pinch yourself...are you dreaming? Was I really only in here/seen in less than 30 minutes? Hallmark didn't bother to save my mother's life....they sent her elsewhere.

How about the per office quota in dollars that a office of Caldwell Memorial has to make each month. They give each out office a figure they have to bring in every month, so unnecessary lab tests are done to bring up the patients bill. Also how about he misappropriation of donations. When the McCreay Cancer Center opened they had one room with no floor in it and people were told they did not have the money to finish it. Before the day was done there was a check written for over 1 million dollars to finish the room. The money was not used for that and and the room is still without a floor in it. Also a donation was give to remodel a building in southern part of Caldwell well over 1 million dollars and now that the building is about done they do not have money to complete it. But Laura will spend over 3000 dollars for a painting for the hospital hallway. And we wonder why health insurance is so high.

Where has our education gone? It is YOU! Not U. Grammar has gone to the dogs. Can YOU not spell YOU? Idiot!!! Texting: the down grade of America, so sad.

If YOU want to make a point, at least talk like YOU have an education, because your credibility shows in the grammar you type. Not to mention the other spelling of words. I by no means are the spelling police, however I cannot believe a word you say, because of the stupidity you are showing. What is up with using foul language? If a person must use strong supportive words the true is far from reach.
