When I was young in grade school it was okay to paddle children in school, had less problems and violence in school then.
Being that we parents cannot spank our own children without the state getting into it, then we, parents refuse to let someone else spank our children.
I do not think that it should have ever been done in the first place. There other means to discipline a child at school that does not constitute spanking them.
Hopefully everything will work out for the best for both candidates. If the child act up and the assistant principle felt that is was protocol then he had some authority to spank the child, but if he abused that power then yes he too should face the consquences as well.
But just because your child was spank is not a cry for a lawsuit... all children are not angels when away from home. Parents killed me with that crap.
