Totally a criminal act, but you have to admire his ingenuity. Most of the thieves are out there with a hose and a breath mint.

Appears as though even North Oaks has a "wrong side of the tracks."

A gas thief living in North Oaks? That must be a first. Maybe he's still living with Mom and Dad, or he lives in somebody's garage. Maybe he's a live-in handyman. Or maybe he knew Bernie Madoff and it's come to this.

Anybody know this guy? If I cared enough I'd check his criminal history and get the real Chad Storey. It's the 8th Judicial District web site if somebody wants to look it up.

How about we charge and convict the petroleum industry with posession of burglary tools. It's called the commodities market, we get feloniously robbed by it every time we fill up.

I knew this guy when he was a kid. I grew up in North Oaks, and he was my youngest brother's age. This "story" (pardon the pun) isn't a surprise at all. The kid was a little trouble maker when he was young, and he has a long criminal record as an adult. He has a great family, and he grew up on the right side of the tracks, but I think he went through it all not taking education seriously, and he seemed more interested in getting away with things. Anyway, I've heard he breaks into his parent's home, and sleeps in the garage when he isn't spending time behind bars. It's weird to say it now, because everyone in the neighborhood knew Chad Storey was trouble, and I guess we were right.
