Gang members are cold, heartless, selfish individuals. They place their need to beat, rape, sell drugs and kill over the safety of everybody else. They have completely wrecked neighborhoods, and made it unsafe for our children to walk around the block or little old ladies to walk to grocery store.

I am sorry for the two families that now suffer for the stupidity of this whole gang situation. But there was a choice made by all of the individuals. Lots of people endure horrible, horrible acts and manage to stay out of a gang. People who use their past for an excuse shortchange themselves and make it hard for the rest of us to survive.

And yes people will judge when some of us can't even sit outside without hearing gunshots, go for a walk after dark, or own anything nice because these thugs may decide they are entitled to it.
