I have the iconic photo of American troops landing at Dog Red Sector on Omaha Beach taped to the front of my folder for my British Literature class at the U of M. They're my heroes!! Without them I would not have been born.

My Dad and his fellow Marines sacrificed four terrible years in the South Pacific and then came back to raise families and build our country.
We can never thank them enough for what they did.

Yawn...whatever....Ever stop to think how racist these guys were against Asians? Why is a person who fought in a war automatically some sort of here just because they killed non-white people?

Whatever....some "sacrifice" killing Asian people. And how about the terrible way we treated Asian-Americans in this country by putting them in internment camps? Ever heard of a little thing called diversity? I wouldn't be so quick to call these guys heroes.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Libra

Your social life has a lot to offer under the Leo Moon and it would be a shame to spend too much time on your own. Venus, your life-ruler, in the sign of the Archer, is outgoing and jovial, but you're keen to make a serious effort with people you aren't normally all that keen on. Take them in your stride, and look on the bright side. There's always something to like about anyone!
