Thousands of police officers could've shown their respect in other ways, especially if they were from out-of-state and never even knew him, and saved the taxpayers money. If they knew him or his family...fine. If not, then stop wasting taxpayer money. Oh, and before you get your panties in a bunch, Jay, I DID "put my life on the line every day", and I didn't get to go home after a 12-hour shift. Try spending several YEARS deployed overseas.

BULL CHIT! How can an Air Force personnel clerk place his or her life in jeopardy hiding behind a cubicle deployed in Germany? So what if you had to mop the latrine after your shift was over???

What a forking WHIMP!
