Nope - The space is too small for any sort of a Wal*Mart. Chances are good that the property will remain one of Vacaville's many vacant storefronts for several years to come until the economy improves - if it ever does.

Wondered that myself. Doesn't seem to be much going on there. Maybe a contractor just rented the lot for a staging area??????????

Wrong, the Walmart neighborhood market stores are pretty small and an old rite aid is a perfect fit. Read the last few paragraphs regarding the future Woodland locations.

I will check with my friend who works for Walmart and find out for sure.

The new Walmart grocery store is going in the old Food for Less store on Alamo. Don't know what is going in here.

My buddy told me that in addition tithe two neighborhood markets opening in woodland they're opening one in Vacaville and one in Fairfield. He didn't know the locations though. Construction has also started on the new Walmart super center in Suisun, I guess the Walmart haters couldn't stop it.

Eric... I would love to know where you are hearing this from. I work in the old Food 4 Less shopping center & we were hearing rumors for a while that a Whole Foods was going in there. Now we are hearing the Wal Mart rumors.

I would love to know the sources so I could figure out which rumor is more probable & reliable.

Thanks!

Possible, yet unlikely. The old Food 4 less building is too big for a Walmart Neighborhood Market but they could devide it up like they did with the old K-Mart building.
My buddy says he may learn more in a couple of week sbecause he will be on the same flight to the annual meeting as the Neighborhood Market regional manager.

Careful of you criticism of Bob as he controls much of the beef industry around these parts. Otherwise, you might find a bunch of horse meat in your "beef" pasta sauce!

While I don't claim to know "everything", I do know almost everything and what I don't know personally I can find out. You on the other hand, know nothing and couldn't distinguish fact from fiction if it slapped you in the face.

Be careful, you may get much worse than just horse meat in your next burger.

A brilliant mind during the years of President George W. Bush Jr said, "there certain knowns and certain unknowns...You go to war with the Army you have."
