Solano County sees improvement in graduation, dropout rates

In Vacaville-area school districts, more than eight out of 10 students who started high school in 2008-09 graduated with their class in 2012.

On the surface one would think that this is good news. EXCEPT for the fact the the graduation requirements and the education level has been dumbed down to eighth grade level for a high school diploma. Sadly they are attempting to further reduce the graduation requirements to make the teachers look better. They can't count back change on a cash transaction if their life depended on it now so I guess what's coming is they won't be able to count past ten without removing their shoes.
