Pelican Bay is no different that Guantanamo Bay, it houses prisoners with no proof of wrong doing. It's torture!

And we're supposed to feel sorry for these animals? They're in prison for a REASON.

They were found GUILTY of their crimes, what more proof of wrong doing do you need?

Right, guilty of what crimes? What crimes did the Pelican Bay prisoners commit?

Saying hello to another inmate as they pass by. Oh gee, that's a crime punishable by 20 years in solitary confinement at PBSP. You find that acceptable I suppose.

Do you even read the articles you post links to?

The inmates are some of he most violent dirt bag criminals inthe state of California as noted in their mission statement,
"Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) is designed to house California’s most serious criminal offenders in a secure, safe, and disciplined institutional setting. One half of the prison houses maximum security inmates in a general population setting. The other half houses inmates in the Security Housing Unit (SHU) designed for inmates presenting serious management concerns. The SHU is a modern design for inmates who are difficult management cases, prison gang members, and violent maximum security inmates. "

They are held in confinement because they a troublemakers and or a danger to other inmates. A better solution could be to allow them to congregate with other inmates and if they start a fight, immediately shoot them in the head. There, problem solved.

"A federal judge says inmates held in isolation for more than a decade at California's Pelican Bay State Prison can proceed with a lawsuit accusing the state of subjecting them to mental TORTURE and violating their rights by denying them any real chance for release from solitary confinement."

"They are putting people in the SHU for 20 years based on the artwork that they draw (of symbols allegedly associated with gangs), the birthday cards they send ... or just (for) saying hello to a validated gang member," Lobel said.

You have a selective memory.

I hope they win.

You're missing the point idiot. They are in prison for a major crime and the confinement is for safety reasons after they have been CONVICTED.

You sure are. Thank God the judge sees my point, the judge that has the power.

If sheep could talk you'd be in jail.

All this ruling did is allow them to go forward and file a suit. Do you even know what they want in their suit if they win?

I don't know why you are so infatuated with sheep, I.ve told you a thousand times that I don't have any.(I know, you are quite slow on the uptake)

The filing is about human rights, the men are not seeking any money.

You keep saying that. Keep repeating the lie and eventually you will believe it.

If sheep could talk, you'd be in jail.
