How about getting a job that offers health/dental? If you're over 18 years old, that means that you're an adult. Time to grow up and be responsible for yourself.

Google "low cost wisdom teeth extraction east bay solano" See what comes up. I don't have dental insurance either and it really can be expensive. Maybe there's a dental school somewhere that takes patients.

Good advice. One wonders whether employers these days offer dental coverage at all, much less right from the start. Many Calif. State jobs now make you wait two years for dental.

Maybe, this country should be like canada and offer healthcare to everyone at no cost!!! I have a job and I have healthcare as well. I just think that with all of the funds that are used for STUPID ISH within our government some of those could be used constructively!!!

I agree. I had health insurance, and an appendectomy left me paying 13k AFTER insurance. That soured me on Health Insurance.

$13K against what? What was the total bill?

That’s surprising. Even low-cost health plans usually have stop-loss limits of $3k or $5k.

Move to Canada. Then you might get the appendectomy for very little out-of-pocket, but that’s if you live until the surgery: they are like Kaiser here in that you have to wait forever and they mis-diagnose.

Yeah! Go to the hardware store and put down a couple of bucks for a pare of pliers so you can do it yourself.

Please don't be a pain in the arse to other people in anxiety. Having insurance doesn't entitle you to subject other people that doesn't have it to feeling embarrass for you.
