The truth is everybody that gets a day off today just sleeps in. MLK Day is a joke.

Yep, racism is alive and well here in Solano County.

When confronted with the truth, those that use excuses to cover up their shortcomings always claim racism is the cause of their misery, right Dre?

Run along to the mall, I heard there is an MLK sale today at Macy's.

You're mixing up religion and politics. What is the fourth of July other than a day in the beginning of July? Do you mean Independence Day perhaps?

The truth is days like today are merely paid days off for government workers. Ask anyone that had the day off and they will tell you they sat at home sleeping in, watching TV, and doing a whole lot of nothing.

Put all these non-holiday holidays on a weekend.

Wow!! It is good to see Vacaville and Bay Area people. There were some functions today. In the capital city there was a march. There will be more functions next month. I got the day off too.

The truth is I work for a living. Taking days off like that on a perfectly good Monday in January is foolish.

The truth is that many people spent their day off volunteering and giving back to their communities, myself included.

I'm surprised that, these days, the song "White Christmas" hasn't been labeled racist yet.

When I was in Vietnam...we use to sing White Christmas every December 25th. Yup, when I was out on patrol shooting those gooks between the eyes with my M-14 rifle, I'd be humming White Christmas. Yes sir...I'm a real Vietnaaaaam veteran. I used my GI Bill money to go to Providence College when I got out. Yup, GI Bill, Vietnam, all to protect my country from those communists. Now I collect a disability check. Why? Because I can...

“King Day”? Didn’t we fight a war to get away from a king?

Yes, in addition to excessive taxation and taxation without representation. Pretty much the same things we are seeing now.

It's funny how all of a sudden they are complaining about taxation without representation and excessive taxation. When we started two undeclared wars some of the same people were saying taxation was a good thing. Back then they were all, "If you're not with us, then you're against us." Now that the war drums have ebbed and it's time to sober up and pay the bills they come crying about the taxes and divided we need to be.

Don't 'cha just love the irony?
