The only tax payer dollars in use were police presence. The reporter pays for most and everything else is donations from what I understand.

15,000? You believe everything you read in the VV Repeater? If so, I've a bridge in Brooklyn, New York that I'd like to interest you in buying.

You ought to go next year, it's a real community gathering that everyone loves. Smiles all around Main Street. Wonderful singing, horse carriage rides, hot cocoa, and a holiday tree that is just lovely. This kind of event just might warm up your cold heart. Try it next year.

I may be interested in your bridge, does it include free shipping? If I act now, do I get two for the price of one? Since I am amoung the first 500 callers.... Do I also get a free set of Ginsu II's???

Thanks for asking! Today and today only, just in time for Xmas, we're having a BOGO sale! Buy the Brooklyn Bridge and we'll give you the opportunity to buy the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge for half-off!

By the way, if you really want a fun crowd, try New Years Eve at NYC's Times Square. Instead of whimpy hot chocolate, most have at least a magnum of Champaign - even the cops out on the beat!

Last time I did New Years Eve it was -13 chill factor at Times Square. I said the heck with that had took the long walk to the fire works at central park hitting pubs along the way for a little anti-freeze

;-)

was actually funner than watching a dumb old ball drop...

Oh... Tourist Alert: The Ball looks much larger on TV that it actually is. If you're going there just to see it; you'll be disappointed.

Last time I celebrated New Years Eve on Times Square, I was too busy playing suck face with my lady friend that neither of us noticed the lighted ball.
