He did not have custody until May, and she returned to the US as required.
they waited until then to arrest her? She did what was supposed to do, and it seems like someone was out to get her and used the police as their way.
It's unfortunate for the child to have been exposed to this, but it's always the children that get hurt during these domestic situations.
Too bad the police had not been more sensitive to the situation, and handled it more appropriately

I am very happy that this little boy is reunited with his father. It is very sad that his mother was selfish and did not think of the pain she would cause her son when she abducted him.
I am surprised to read the comment from "Jim" stating that he felt someone was out to get the mother!?! This woman has to now deal with a very poor decision she made and this poor father has not seen his son since February. This is a happy ending.
