It's the river going to La Pryor. I think that's where the blue hole or big cliff is.
The land owner calls it the big cliff but everyone else calls it the blue hole.

So, what river is this? I thought the state owned the rivers? I mean if I started kayaking up from a different part of the river and just ended up down there with out going through your precious properties is that still the same?
The water is owned by the state but if you step foot on the land then you are trespassing.

From what I understand you can't own the river just river banks (just temporarily can people be on there if they're scouting for obstructions . All rivers are accessible from public locations so, that road they keep talking about is off limits then. So, If you see me kayaking down there you can't really say anything.

Yes you make kayak/tube this part of the river. Just no driving your vehicle to this property.

Actually, I think that 10 feet on either side of the river is public property. So if I take a 4-wheel drive vehicle down and don't go more than 10 feet from the edge of the water, you can't do a thing about it. I believe that people should not trash the place definitely. We never did when we use to float the river back in the late 70's and early 80's. Just make sure you know the law before you go throwing it around. I wouldn't want you to look like a fool.

It seems like you didn't read the conveniently posted link.

There is no 10 feet on either side rule on the rivers. Learn what the gradient boundary is before you take your 4 wheel drive vehicle to the river. You are either on someones private property or in the riverbed, meaning you are trespassing or driving illegally on the riverbed, both are violations. Check out Parks and Wildlife Code Chapter 90, dealing with state riverbed.

the blue hole is south of the cliff . throughout the duration of many floods the river change is characteristics. to whom think its ten feet from the bank is pulic prop. u r so ingnorant. it has to do with a thing called the gradiant boundary . dont ask me what it means , because not even the law offficials know what the law states . its a matter of opnionas far as true property line . have land near chalk bluff for over 25 years ... I HAVE NVER OWNED PROP> ON RIVER <MY PROP IS ALSO RIVER FRONT > LOOK AT PLATTS . do nnot own river bed . it is state prop.

You may swim, kayak, whatever, the road is owned by the property owners. not the river. Very few people take that route however and haul ass up and down our road. I live here full time and have to be weary of drunks coming from the river on my private rd. As a result the Browns and I are putting up a gate. You trespass I can shoot you!
