you might have luck googling for the "Stardust Drive-In" - it was actually located on Hwy. 83 "Milam St.", not Getty Street - hope this helps

The El Lasso Theater was located on getty st.
It is the building next door to Dudley`s Furniture.
it is now a christian store.

The El Lasso theatre was owned by commonwealth theatres, same company owned the Star Dust drive inn. United Artist bought out Commonwealth theatres in 1985 I belive. I ran the drive inn.

I believe you can go to the library or Leader News, and they probably have photos. Bad thing, they will charge you per print. But I don't think its much.

Someone should build a NEW THEATER!!! Forum Theater is old and seats are horrible. That place needs an EXTREME MAKEOVER. If someone would invest in a NEW building, Forum 4 will shut down forever. Sad but true...

why? the place was at one time a great location and really nice, but the trash of Uvalde ruined it by tearing it up. If you build a new one, the same thing's going to happen because people in Uvalde don't appreciate good things. I wish people would invest in making themselves better.
