If seat belts have to be worn in vehicles shouldn't motorcyclists also be forced to wear helmets?
More motorcycle accidents result in death than car accidents.
I guess thats what lobbists are good for.

Why wouldn't you wear a seatbelt anyways??
My personal peeves with driving are people who don't wear seatbelts and people who don't use turn signals. Two of the EASIEST ways to help stay safe and nobody seems to do it anymore.
I'm glad that ever since I was a child my dad used to insist that I always wear my belt, now its an automatic habit when I get in the car.

It's like automatic to me, and it seems in most cars, if you don't, they bug you to death until you do fasten.

Why, if seatbelts are so important are they not on school buses? Land of the free. It should be up to the individual.

My favorite motorcyclists are those who think they are safe wearing helmets but still enjoy riding in my blind spots for miles and then thinking I'm the one at fault for nearly killing them if I need to change lanes.

Motorcyclists say that not wearing a helmet is "freedom of choice" I wear one no matter what the law is! The main concern here is there is no "freedom of choice" when it comes to seatbelts! You must wear a seatbelt! kinda seems like a double standard to me.
