I agree, the same poster for most of these blogs. I was shocked to see the manager of this J Houstons is John L who ran LaBellas pizza into the ground. This was the worst manager I ever worked for, lazy, steals, and gives the place away. He put LaBellas out of business in a few months. I thought he was in jail. I'm sure J Houstons won't last 6 months with this jerk in charge. He treats the help like sh-t, sexually harasses all the females and enriches his family with free everything. Sorry Mr Houston, you hired the biggest bum in pizza history, but don't worry, you will have lots of debt to pay off when you are out of business.

stopped in J Houstons to put in a application, and I was quite surprised to see John as the manager. I worked with this guy before, believe me when I say that he was the worst person I have ever worked with. He doesn't have any Idea how to manage a pizza shop. He cost me my job at LaBellas Pizzeria with his nasty mouth, lazy work habits and he gave everything away. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the owner of Houstons? I have plenty to tell him before he goes out of business.

Before I get into my review about the place, I would like to say that I believe this post is mostly fabricated. By that I mean, this post seems like it was written by a bunch of people to promote this pizza place. Too many responses giving out information pertaining specifically to promoting the place and some of the same things I heard from the people working in this restaurant were posted as a response.

I ate at this place a few weeks ago. I had a slice of pizza. The taste wasnt bad but they charged 2.50 for a medium size slice.

Overall the food was ok. Prices are fair but a tad more than average.

My opinion is that it will not be that profitable, if at all and will go out of business withing a year or two tops. First and only reason why I say this is because it is in such a dead area. Yes it is on Sunset but there is nothing really around there to draw people to it. Most customers will be people in the neighborhood and it being spread by word of mouth. Not being a downer but just telling it like I see it. Maybe they will prove me wrong, but that is something only time will tell.

If you order wings. Why do you have to pay $1.00 for blue chesse? Never had to for any other pizza place. But we do like the pizza in little falls.

I'm glad to have such a good pizza place nearby. Unfortunately, the manager has steered me away from buying pizza from J Houston's regularly. It seems like every time I go in there while John is around, he says something racist or sexist. First of all, if you didn't want black people coming to your restaurant you shouldn't have set up your business in a predominantly black neighborhood. Just because I'm white doesn't mean I share his offensive, closed-minded opinions. Maybe they would get better business if he treated paying customers with respect. It really is a shame because the pizza is very good, but I don't want to give my money to a place that's managed by such a bigot.

I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like one person making all the posts. Good try to boost business though. Any real customers try this place out yet?

That sux. Doesn't that kinda just ruin everything like you said. All people love pizza. Unfortunately the owner doesn't love all people. What a shame. I will never be stopping by or ordering. Neither will any of my huge Hispanic family. Not to mention the tons of friends that goes with a family that big. Racism sux

J's is Over priced, horrible location and the building is extremely dated and dirty inside which makes my hunger magically disappear. Not to mention their food is average in taste and quality. I tried the pizza place "Slice" on Genesee St near price chopper in south Utica recently and they were also kind of pricy but when I got my slice of pizza it was F****** huge! Pretty good pizza. If they change their pricing this place would crush the Utica competition easy.
