What a rip off. They quoted a new hot water heater installation for $950.00. I called 4 other places and they were all between $650.00 and $675.00......... I hate them. Bunch of crooks. They would not even negotiate the price. They said they have better quality installations and thats why they are higher. The tank is $350.00 at cost. So they charge $600.00 an hour. Highway robbery.
You forgot about the cost of the commercials!!! All of that marketing is paid for with higher prices and/or higher volume.

They issue more quotes in a week than some places issue in a year. They are ok if you don't mind paying a premium price. Little old rich ladies in New Hartford think they are great.

Forget it. You are too dumb to explain it to.

I am smart enough to install my own hot water tank and re-do all of the plumbing in my house. Apparently, you are not that smart since you had to call Collis for a quote.

I have a Buderus 'indirect' hot water tank that is heated by my high efficiency wall-hung boiler. I am smart enough to know that my tank was designed with a removable cover to allow it to be cleaned on the inside. I was curious whether you had the same type. I was just guessing that you were too dumb to use the proper terminology.

Well then you should know that the federal government regulated that the tanks be enclosed. The air was once able to be sucked in to the vents all around the tank. NOW, there is one vent on the bottom. The rest is sealed. This makes it very hard to clean. With all the BS, I wanted to hire a professional for the safety of my family. I am a dumb pharmacist by the way who cant spell for sh_t. Come get your meds at Walgreens

First off, they are the best in the area, hands down!! They do more installs than all companies combined. They were business of the year a couple years ago. You get what you pay for. They are top notch and the most trained. Knocking people on here is being a coward. Just don't use them.

They are first rate but charge 2 arms and 2 legs for anything they do. No matter what make or how old your furnace...you call them for a cleaning/tune-up they always tell you you need a new unit for $4-5K. Never fails!!!

All hot water heaters are made in same factory in China. But the cheapest tank you can get. Find somebody who can install for you. Not rocket science.

My Buderus was made in Germany. It was expensive, but it was worth it.
