Check it out first. Trevisani installed mine, wrecked the whole electrical system and voided my car warranty. Car had to be junked.
Was left with a mess of tangled wires.

car starters are mostly a bad idea, poor installation and zero mpg when used. Suck it up, dress warm, save fuel, money and the environment, keep your car from beibg hacked up by a poor installation

getting a car starter installed in your car DOES not VOID the warranty. Car companys sell them in cars brand new and also use local places to install them so that's a lie.

it WILL VOID your warranty if the installer screws up the factory wiring of your car. a properly installed remote starter won't void your warranty, but having one installed by somebody that doesn't know what they are doing WILL. Best is to check with the service manager of the dealership of the make of car you're want to have it installed in and ask them who they would recommend.

I've used Big Apple for the last 4 I had installed. Not the cheapest, but, reliable. I hear Custom Sound sucks.

Big Apple installed a car starter in my 2006 Pontiac and put in a larger fuse than they should have.

Two days later when I went to start the car it caught on fire and the entire car burnt up!!!!

Done 3 with them and agree 100% as long as you can get past the attitudes.

As far as Mobile Mike goes. Here's my story. I own a Jeep. Had him put the starter in. Everything seemed to work fine FOR AWHILE. Then, windows wouldn't roll down, door locks wouldn't work. 3x he checked/fixed the problem. Finally, after being disgusted.....had the starter taken out! Screwed up the whole electrical system. Be Ware.

I should know what I'm talking about I actually work at carbone selling cars. As a car salesmen we tell that to people that there warranty wil be voided if it's done wrong. We would rather have u put it in at a car starter place that we deal with because of the commision. So if u don't go to the place we recomend we tell you it will be voided.

Go to Big Apple. Don't have Carbone or their recommended people do it. They told me to go to a place and lets just say that I had some problems and had them remove it. I then had another person install it with no problems and did a professional job. One of my friends let Carbone detail his car for $85 and they just did a quick vacuum job and put wet tire on my tires. It wasn't fully vacuumed, carpets weren't cleaned, and an overall cheap job. He received his money back, but they screwed with his plans for 2 separate days that they said they would do the detailing.

Another place to avoid is Sound Factory in Rome. One of my friends had a remote car starter installed there and his truck caught on fire. They had to pay for his truck that was totally lost.

There is a law called the Magnesen Moss act. basicially states aftermark parts do not void your warranty just void the warranty on any part it damages. entire warrnty can't be voided but dealers will try to blame anything not to warranty so go to a reliable shop. time in business solder all conections and dealer relations is a major issue as a consumer should look into

Avoid Sound Fagtory at all costs. Those boys set my friend's truck on fire. I have heard so many complaints about them. Better off going to Big Apple.

Cheaper doesn't mean it is better.

Are you kidding? I've went there for them to install my remote starters in all my vehicles.Never heard 1 bad thing about them until now. Are you someone that has a grudge against a worker there? Sound Factory is number one man I don't care what you have to say they will continue to get my buisness and others.

It's nice to see the owner's friend come on here to say how good his business is when they do bad work. Why did they lose their case and have to replace my friend's truck? Bad wiring job! Beware of these people. I have had other friends go there and tell me their horror experiences that dealt with audio. Since this topic is about remote starters, I stayed on the topic.

How silly you are.I'm not his friend nor do I know the people that work there. Each time I've been there they have been very nice and have done a great job. I have stayed on the topic, you're just pissed I'm right.Maybe your friend should keep check of his truck and put the blame where it belongs.
