It seems as though trips to Vegas are becoming more and more affordable. I've stayed off the strip a few times, but what to stay on the strip this year.

Any advice on where to stay and what kind of benefits I'll have by staying there???

Staying on the strip is overated & over priced. Try the Rio or The Orleans...both very close to the strip both nice too.

I stayed at the newly renovated and expanded Golden Nugget last month on Freemont st. If you want to be able to walk out your hotel and party, thats where to go. Safe!! Fun!! and cheap drinks! All under a canopy that lights up with displays and light shows..

To feel like a star stay at the MGM GRAND. To gamble go to RIO. Put $ 20.00 in 30X machine played 13.50 and won $ 2,500!.

Try the Hilton, it's not technically on the strip, but it is on the Monorail, and they have deals during the summer.

For the money and location try Bill's Gambling hall. Great location. Across from Ballys, Ceasars, & Belagio. For a few $ more try Ballys. Very nice and resonably priced.

On the strip:Without question Bellagio, Encore; the rest are a very distant second. Off the strip RedRock. Lots of locals. Lots of fun

I like the mgm and the mirage. Once you stay on the strip it's a totally different experience. Made the mistake of staying at the palms once and it was nothing but an inconvenience.

Stay home you'll be happier with the money in your wallet! Unless of course your collecting a pension funded by the tax payers, then by all means have a good trip on us...
