Macy's is now where Kaufman's used to be. What was there BEFORE Kaufman's?

Macy's is now where Kaufman's was? Kaufmann's is part of Macy's company.

Macy's acquired Kaufmann's and made all those stores into Macy's. Macy's over the years has acquired many other department store chains, including the legendary Wanamaker's store in Philadelphia.

LOL! A lot of people forget that Sangertown once had a roller skate rink. After that closed up, they added the extra arcade and then the movie theaters.

It's too bad that Marquee can't reopen the theaters at Riverside. The building is just sitting there wasting space.

Now if they could only shut down BJ's and put a Costco or Sam's Club instead.

I never use that mall except to get from Seneca Turnpike to Commercial Drive safely instead of at the JK Lumber intersection. That damn intersection keeps the geico agents busy.

Mungers, then Howlands. I know that they were in the Kaufman spot in Riverside but I'm not sure if both were in Sangertown.

Kaufmann's was never at Riverside. Steinbach was. I do remember Howlands but I think they were located at New Hartford Shopping Center - not Riverside.

As far as the Cinemas at Riverside, a bulldozer is the best thing for them. Somewhere on the Internet is photos that someone had taken of the lobby from outside of the building through the windows in the doors. You could see stuff growing on the carpeted walls. I can imagine what the rest of the theatre is like.

Sangertowns' Theatres cannot be too much better, seeing that they have been out of commision for how many years now. It's a shame that they both are left unused.

I take it that the Roller Skating Rink was located on the side in the area where the 3 Cinemas and Park Place were??
