Don't feel too sad for any retiring UPD cop. They get at least 70-80% of their salary in their pensions and go work up at Turning Stone for $30-40K/year as security. Or go to a small-town dept. and be meter maids. Remember how Roefaro padded all the public safety unions with great retirement & health care benefits. Look at the plum job Al Candido got with Oneida Cty.$82K/year as Piss-ente's shoeshine boy.

Its because john toomey is a slob and a disgrace the way he looks. What supervisor would want to stay and take an order from this freak. Everytime i see this socially akward freak i cant believe the city spend over 150k on his salery and benefeits to do nothing. Once he retires the city should not make another deputy chief and hire 3 street cops with the salery. He is actually killing the department not helping it. And were paying that much to do so. He is what made a joke out of williams to.

The department is a train wreck along with the city and no body really wants to work there anymore.

Does anyone remember a few years back when some dufuss representing the City, drew up a contract with the PD and had a clause that if they filed for retirement they got a $25,000.00 bonus? A half dozen that had their time in filed, got the $25,000.00 bonus for filing, but didn't go through with the retirement. Nothing said they had to actually retire for the bonus, just file the application papers. They stayed on, fat, dumb, and happy at tax payer's expense. The City then spent thousands of tax dollars fighting it and lost, because it was a binding contract which they themselves drew up. I wonder if that clause is still in affect.

Where in my post did I fault any of the PD members for taking advantage of that? I believe I pointed out the ineptness of the City of Utica. Did you pass reading comprehension in 4th grade or are you still repeating it?

Cliffy Dave just can't help it when he gets drunk by himself late at night. His obsession with Utica and his own failed and miserable life mandates that he post something negative about something Utica. Sober up and get a job moron 'cause you're pathetic.
