In my estimation, the history & mythos of that city have destroyed generations of bright young men who chase faded gangster memories, forced to believe because their surname ends in a vowel they must act as if they're connected to a crime family.

The soft bigotry of low expectations - one only acts like a gunidaloon because one believes its what's expected of them.

Larsen - succintly put!
==========

Lest anyone be dismayed by the egregious typo above - I meant to type Guindaloon (a simple transposition error) NOT gunidaloon.

Please allow me to diffuse the clever "learn to type" comeback now. You'll have to dig deeper.

...'Surely no one would go for the comeback' I thought...and then the brilliance above gets pasted. Yes, I said pasted. Don't worry though, you are not alone Msr. Sarducci.

Um, you mean "defuse" not "diffuse." Is that deep enough?

Staying out of your fine city isn't really a problem for me, however it's pretty clear you haven't left (or advanced much beyond the 315 area code).

As to whether or not I am needed there - it's safe to say my feelings aren't hurt.

Anymore clever insults? Quick, call a buddy who has thesaurus - you need to find a big word to shoot back.

Defuse is the more correct word to use, but diffuse has a similar meaning (Latin - to break apart or deflect).

Thanks for passing my post thru spell check - typically it's the entirety that one focuses on.

Short of spell check - do you have any thoughts of your own?

I thought so..........I hear crickets.

Not a backbone in the bunch, one insult & run transparent ignorance. Congrats, go run and tell everyone at the Finger Bullet how cool you were today.

I didn't pass your post thru spell check; any fool with a working knowledge of English knows that "defuse" is the proper word.

Your post is silly and hyperbolic. "...destroyed generations of bright young men." Destroyed? Think before you write.

Yes destroyed - time spent in prison qualifies as destruction of life. Many young men chased a street life only to find out it was a lie (kind of like your posts).

Surely you'll argue the merits of incarceration to me.

If there's hyperbole involved it's in your feigned concern for the citizenry of Utica.

Please enlighten us all, do share what your indignant concern is all about (here comes the tree hugging liberal textbook sermon).

Chasing street life includes prison time. They are one in the same, so they do both exist. If someone choses to try to be an old school italian gangster like they see in movies then they are making a conscious decision to either end up dead or in jail.

The real gangsters now exist in politics and business. We need a college degree to be gangsters now in days. The good thing is that in Utica we have a foot up because we hire only our family and friends, so get some!

Now if you'll excuse me, I haven't anymore time to entertain your drivel. I must run & complete my research on the "Computational Exploration of the Efficacy of Fibonacci Sequences in Technical Analysis and Securities Trading".

I imagine you've got a big evening lined up at Spilka's with your family.

There are cities in Georgia that are very cosmopolitan. Your perception of Georgia is way off base. I think the fact is you're way to ignorant to live outside the 315 area code. If you graduated from highschool the military service could broaden your perspective if you have the balls to enlist and make a man of yourself.

Fibonacci Sequences are dumb unless you're putting down sophisticated tile patterns or mosaics. It has nothing to do with being efficient in tech or securities. But have fun. Although I do use it to develop many of my passwords and pins.

I think he's more of a Cavallo's punk, IF he can do that well. Chances are he never graduated from East Utica slums.
