You want conjecture or accusation? Apparently threaten a lady and any cop that tried to get near him with death. Or something of the sort

New Hartford Police say Douglas Case, 45, had been making threats to the victim since 2008.They say he threatened to kill the victim if she reported the case to police. He also made recorded threats to shoot police officers if they attempted to come to his house.

Case was charged with aggravated harassment and was ordered to surrender all firearms. He was found to legally possess more than 20 firearms, 12,000 rounds of ammunition and more than 80 spare magazines.

Case was charged with aggravated harassment =$20K bail in New Hartford court

on the other hand

Steven Zarnoch, 47 of New Hartford, and charged him with aggravated harassment = Zarnoch was arraigned in the Town of Whitestown Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000.00 bail bond.

The exact same criminal charge and disparagingly different bail amounts

NOthing new for the area: New Hartford and Oneida county have "justice-itis"..... they use the law for their own ends.

When the other guy you mentioned was arrested he didn't threaten any cops.

They guy with the super-duper high bail DID.

See how these children think?

Cops aren't even cops for the right reasons anymore: They want the paycheck and the ability to get even in a world that must've been agony to live in without a badge.

Spit on em, they've become the new peons.

If this guy was such a threat why wasn't he arrested in September? Word on the street is that his psycho ex was going to loose custody of the kids because of abuse and child endangerment so she fabricated this garbage as a last desperate attempt to keep the kids.

This guys crime...he's a white Anglo-Saxon male who enjoys partaking in his second amendment rights to keep and bear arms. Who also happens to be a chief firearms training instructor for the NY State Dept of Corrections.

Why is it that a certain New Hartford police officer (who happens to be married) has been seen on numerous occasions at this woman's residence in the late evening and very early morning hours? Sounds like the kangaroo court is alive and well in New Hartford NY.

ummm...two totally different types of harassment. Zarnoch was sending love letters and presents. Case was making death threats. Pretty obvious why bail was different.

Bottom line. Judge Virkler, who by the way has absolutely zero legal experience and competence, overstepped his authority and should step down. This poor guy was railroaded because of his "legal" possession of firearms. He's actually trained many of the police officers in the community tactical firearm training. It's part of his job. Just another reason to get the hell out of the liberal-socialist-communist state of New York.

The only problem with your theory is that he was RECORDED making death threats to the cops... how is it fabricated?

The operative word is "alleged". Anyone can allege anything! No evidence of him making these alleged threats has been produced. So he is therefore innocent until such proof is provided.

These officials are all scumbags in New Hartford. My fater-in-law is debating moving the business out of New Loserford because of Reed and things like this. My wife and I are doing all we can to get the fk out of here!

Sick of cops who always seem to be out for #1.

Sick of officials spending our money on EVERYTHING they whim up.

Sick of ALL the blue-blood acting like New Hartford is a mecca for the smart and affluent.(Doesn't look so much like that anymore ahah!)

What do you expect from a judge that's got a blown-up picture of Clint Eastwood in the office.

Sort of reveals the twisted ego at work. If Eastwood knew that aswh0le had his picture hanging in such a corrupt scumburg like that he'd ask them to remove it! He's honest and ethical! Haha!

Again, no recording has been provided of this alleged recording. The real question is if this recording does exist why wasn't it turned over to the authorities back in September 2008. I know the real reason for that!

Amazing that even when there is PROOF (he was RECORDED making death threats) men still try and use this excuse. How is it fabricated? He was finally arrested because someone else heard him and they had proof.

Have you personally heard these so called recordings? As I understand it neither have his attorneys.

Why would a guy who is law enforcement and has a 20 year relationship with the law enforcement community by training them how to protect themselves through his tactical firearms instruction do something like that? It makes absolutely no sense. I can assure you that there is more to this than meets the eye.
