I regret that I ever started reading Topix. I never realized that this area was full of such bigoted, hateful, right(?) wing Nazis.

Judging people and shutting them out based on what others said or beleived. One should never cherry pick the people in their life, give everyone a fair shot and be willing to wipe the slate clean.

My biggest regret is after graduating college, I had to choose between a job offer in Albany, and one in Utica. Like a fool, I picked Uitca.

Not going away to college, instead of living home and commuting. Also being more serious about my school work and not partying so much in high school.

Same here...I had the chance many years ago to leave this rotten area that all these italians have ruined. All the politicians (except Hanna) are italians and have done NOTHING to make this area a commercial success. This area will always be a sinking ship and you can blame the local ginnys since they've been in power so long.

Amazing, the people who are on here and so completely depressed that they would rather be dead. I do not know what is wrong with life that you would feel that way. That is so very sad!!!

I like the first poster's story. I always say that when my parents pass I don't want to have regrets about not spending time with them. I know that my parents could go at any time as they are up in age. I also know that once my Mom and Dad are gone there will never be anyone who will fill those voids in my life. Many times people do not give their parents enough credit. I know that my Mom loves each one of her kids unconditionally. No matter what any one of us has ever done she has always loved us and always will.

The older I get the easier it is for me to say I'm sorry and to repair relationships. Problem is that many in my family never apologize and acknowledge that they did something that was hurtful, nor do they listen to what the other person has to say if they do apologize, to actually understand why the other person found whatever it was hurtful to begin with. It really is easy to sincerely apologize, and listen to the other person, and actually deal with things. But so many people for some reason are not willing to do that. None of us are perfect and many times an apology can get things headed back on track. Obviously it only works if both want it back on track!
