Just "look" at all the jobs.
..........
SUNYIT graduates have bright future here in CNY with Santa and a "Nano Nano Center" coming to town
By WKTV News
UTICA, N.Y.(WKTV)- SUNYIT's 40th annual commencement was held with hundreds of new sports graduates being honored, Saturday.
The easily confused SUNY students who "graduated" in the morning will soon be searching NY, the highest taxed state for jobs, with many of them not having to go to far to find them now that Aldis has opened 564 stores in CNY.
With the Nano Nano Center quickly becoming a reality, it will bring a plethora of new jobs to the area on the 12th of never.
Students who have spent the last four worthless years at SUNYIT could make up a group of potential new employees when the door do open officially, something that the school is certainly well aware of, if only the liberal basketweaving "professors" had taught them how to turn on an oscilloscope or SEM.
"Nano Nano center is really really really really really bringing tremendous focus on this campus," said SUNYIT Provost, William Durgin. "You've seen the MAJOR classroom building, it's super major spectacular, it's going to bring a lot of imaginary employees if it could just get a wetlands permit, it's going to bring great parasitic opportunities for our engorged public safety rolls and it's going to be really really really the foundation for the magical resurgence for the economy in the Mohawk Valley. We can't leech off people if there's no producing members of society anymore!"
Durgin and local dirtbag leaders are also hopeful that having a place like Nano Nano Utica in the area will convince people to come to the region, and stay here, in case they're blind and gluttons for stress and punishment.
They also hope that it will convince fed up locals already living in the region to remain here as they search for careers.
"It could be very major, just MAJOR big if only the rest of the world would believe our bullshit as redily as WKTV, the Observer Dispatch and the gullible parents and voters are," said Durgin. "This institution could be the largest taxpayer subsidized science and technology institution in New York State in 20 years if we keep lying about it and Cuomo keeps spending billions on it." He said. "We have that major classroom and everyone is fooled int thinking that's the big major major major semiconductor manufacturer! They're pretty stupid on the ground here in Utica."
That is certainly the hope for hopeless, and for "students" fresh out of the SUNYIT commencement ceremonies, that hope for them could soon become a reality. If only they could smoke a big enough blast of crack or if SUNY taught them real practicable skillsets.
That's great! Lol!!!

It's amazing how totally ignorant and duped WKTV is. They literally seem to have a disconnect between "classroom" and "factory" here.
Well at least they will still have the prison-economy.
I don't think it's by accident they blur the line between the two.

You're right they are pumping millions in for a classroom. Much like the 20 billion they pumped in to the one in Albany.

Just wanted you all to know that this and other recent problems of bad reporting were reported to Hartland /Bob Prather whom I know and I have already been promised that he would look into this false reporting.
Wow. Finally someone knows how to take action against the severe lack of investigative reporting...

I went there in the late 90's, but soon transferred out, after one semester, as I was dissatisfied with the curriculum. I also remember checking out the pool area, but there was no water in it. When I asked a school official about it, he said that the school didn't have enough money to actually fill the pool. At this time, they had a satelite curriculum with Russia.

Three years after I left, while reviewing my Student loan balance which I paid on every month, I noticed that The Bursars office had added $ 1,800 to my balance from just the month before. When I inquired, at first they claimed it was," interest." When I challenged that explanation, they then apologized stating that they had just,"reviewed," their three year old accounts, and they discovered that I owed that amount. They then further apologized for the,"inconvenience."
I then blew a gasket stating that it was NOT an ,"inconvenience," but an, OUTRAGE, and that I knew what I owed down to the penny! They said that it was my fault, because I just couldn't understand their accounting procedures, and that I was with a small group of former students that was encountering the same discrepancies. I emphatically told them that I would be initiating a formal investigation of their office and their,"accounting procedures" with the US Dept. of Education.
When I received my student loan statement the next month, the mysterious $ 1,800 over charge had been removed from the balance, with no further explanation. I paid off the balance in full several years ago. Fraud much? WTF!!

It's a college that's operated in the red since 2009. What do you expect?

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that, but I went there in 98 and I didn't expect to encounter that kind of scam 3 years after I left. It was a real wake up call! I also had a theory that their fancy book keeping might have been the result of someone's gambling addiction etc. But more than likely, it was the result of long standing systemic bull shit going on and which continues to this day.

SUNY is and always was the socialist wasteland. When they started the real schools resisted it for decades. It's a welfare farm and set the model for the prison system. Real hit or miss hiring from that lot.

Ah ok. I won't assume gambling addictions or anything like that but the college has been losing money since 09.

The incident occured in 01. I'll never know the reason why it happened, but when I called them on their BS over charge-- Abra-cadabra!! bye bye $ 1,800 over charge. Perhaps they had too much to lose with the prospect of a pending federal investigation. Why do you think they've been losing $ since 09? I really don't have much interest in Suny IT, but I am a little curious.
