I'm all for bringing teams here, but there are not enough people here with discretionary income along with an interest in hockey to support this venture. I hope it works. I make $125000 a year and after taxes, child support for two children and misc expenses, there is not enough left over to afford this. I would much rather enjoy UC Hockey, take family vacations, ski, save for retirement and my children's education than pay for this. I'm not sure who the target demographic is for season tickets but, other than state money coming to town, I'm not sure this will last. Look at the upper crust at the Yahnundasis. Even their membership has fallen by the wayside. This isn't about hockey, it's the state money that will line some people's pockets from our hard earned tax dollars

So, one season ticket for 2 people- that puts 2000 fans in the Aud. Sorry, Mr. Meathead, but that's not being negative, it's being realistic. This partner is good for one dance; then on to a better deal, unless local management ponies up more cash. If that $ is out of their pockets, fine. If it's local or state tax dollars, that's not.

I think the pricing is very fair. Will everyone afford it? No. That's just life and it doesn't mean it can't succeed.

No organization expects to sell out of season tickets. It is offered for fans who will go to every game or most games. Some will even spilt up games with friends or family to take advantage of the savings. I for one am purchasing a couple season tickets for myself and my son, so we are able to sit in the same seats to the games we got too. The tickets I don't use I will give to family and friends to use.
It's a great deal and gives us something to root for! And yes I will still go to UC games because I believe in the great program Heenan has developed!

Hockey aside; reality is that many fans will have cars ticketed for illegal parking; cars will be towed from lots whose owners don't allow parking; cars will be vandalized by the usual suspects; and such is Utica at night.

one real positive(if what they say holds true) at the very least there will be improvements at the aud for other events. might even get pa system that can be heard. one more positive, fans will know the score 2 days later in the od.

it depends on what you feel is more important in your life right now, obviously you have other things more important in your life and thats fine. others live for hockey and will go to every game they can. i work 7 days a week/365 days a year up at 4:45 every morning, i want ahl hockey not college. its kinda like cars, they sell Audis and lexus, but not everyone wants one or can afford one. its a personal preference.....

Most of you commenting couldn't afford to go to one AHL game let alone buy season tickets. You stick to to UC games, watching boys play on the ice, let the real hockey fans enjoy the mans sport. I'd gladly pay three times the amount for an AHL game to watch real hockey.

I hope the Comets force UC to play in the Whitestown hockey rink. All the crying and bitching that comes out of this city you are lucky to even have the opportunity to watch professional hockey.

and then these freeloaders who received all this money will be getting box seats for free and we the tax payers have to pay for their luxury box seats and hotel utica owner Gaetano will prob get the contract ,,, people who owe the city money in tax and who have codes violations shouldn't be able to bid on city contracts

Chillin in CNY-I can afford season tickets; in fact, I'm fairly sure I can buy and sell you. I give more to UC in a year than the cost of a half dozen top price season tickets. And you're right; I'd much rather watch those "boys" on ice than AHL. As far being a "real hockey fan" who wants "real hockey"-that comment is proof of your stupidity. College hockey is real hockey. Finally, your reference to a "man's sport" is not only sexist, but exhibits signs of your homosexual tendencies. I'll bet you'll buy a 1st row seat just so you can be close to those manly men you adore.
UC will be at the Aud next year; they will be at the Aud when your "real" hockey leaves, and they will enjoy the upgrades to the Aud courtesy of your "real" hockey team and "real", manly hockey fans like yourself. So keep drinking your Keystone, Skippy, and see if you can get a home equity loan on the double wide to buy your tickets. Who knows? Maybe the Comets will sponsor a dream date promotion and you'll be completely satisfied (if you get my drift).

the City DOESN'T own the Aud. They sold it along with the Murnane field and the Water authority to the County MANY years ago.

Very reasonably priced. If you can't afford to go or simply don't want to then don't.
