My opinion is that the older low priced gaming machines appear to be cut off as no one seems to be winning on most of them. It this is a move to force ppl to use their new machines? Just another sneaky tactic. I think I will go to Vernon Downs next time where there appears to be less BS. Talked to a man today who lost $250 without a hit. We talked about how no one appears to be winning right now. Wow, too bad I wasted my money there today.

They didn't build Las Vegas by giving away money. Sometimes you win but mostly you loose. The machines are programmed by computer to pay out a certain percentage.

Mostly you lose, NOT "loose."
Lose is the opposite of win.
Loose is the opposite of tight.

Yeah, appears they have reduced the odds. Getting much easier to find a parking spot these days.

If you go with the idea you are gonna hit it big, your night is over before you leave home. Go in with the idea of just having FUN, then if you win it is a bonus. I prefer Vernon Downs over Turning Stone. Non-smoking (and I smoke but not indoors), more bang for your buck, meaning longer playing time and I actually prefer their smaller buffet than that of the TS. I don't go very often, but I have fun when I do go...even if I lose.

my ex husband works there in the IT Dept- networking- he told me when we were together that they rig the machines to pay out or not based on events at the casino that day and whose card is in the machine.

it's Turning Stone, they won't touch it- I called the attorney general and the interior dept already, nothing came of it, not even the papers (od, rome sentinel, oneida daily disgrace) would take the story. I waited till the divorce to talk, now it's all "retaliation" because I am a "woman scorned." a couple days later my car was keyed and the air let out of my tires though...

I have noticed the phenomenon of them paying better if there is a promotion going on but thought it was just me. Definitely prefer Vernon Downs--not just better payouts but much nicer employees who will recognize you when you go back.

he State of New York has a minimum chance to win...It was like 7.58, which means you have a chance to win $7.58 out of every $100.00 pushed thru the machine. They can change it and they do but not much. The most I've ever heard was 9.00. This is why you should not give these thieves one penny.

They are all controlled by computers and Turning Stone sets the winning rate. I remember when they were one of the worst in the country as far as payouts. Don't spend your money there because it goes into Ray's pocket and not the real Native Americans. He is a spoiled little brat who is stealing from his own people.

Turning Stone has more on their plate than paying out. They have to pay taxes now. And guess what everyone that puts their money in Turning Stones machines in only helping them pay their taxes. Be smart keep your money in your pockets. Why would you want to help them pay their taxes.
