Have you talked to the Post Master?
I had a problem with mail in New Hartford a few years ago, wrote a letter to the Postmaster (Scalise) and never received a reply of any kind. Arrogant, overpaid and unresponsive in my opinion. More concerned about paychecks and pensions than customer service.

Bullshit all the mail was delivered by 11:00am. The carriers do not start until 8 . so you are telling me they went in at 8 sorted their mail and had everything delivered by 11 am , bullshit

Let me be clear you are stating because we as a society has advanced the USPS has reverted and became less efficient, doesn’t care about customers and technology has slowed it down to a crawl.

What is your point? Seems you fit with the other poster who wants the same service they had 35 years ago. Things change, sorry. Years ago we used pencils and calculators. Today we use computers, and threw away our typewriters. As an adult of 60+ years, I remember as a child seeing the mailman driving a vehicle, this is nothing new. Now the carriers multitask keeping staffing down. What is your objection to that? Seems if you look at it, the Unions lost members, as now they do two or three peoples jobs.

The cost to deliver the mail is $41.25 an hour but keep in mind advances have slowed it down and they don’t require a college education to make that an hour. They refuse to carry the mail and have to have a truck. The refuse to fund their own retirement and congress made them but of course they are ENTITLED to that retirement even if they don't pay for it. I commend congress in 2006 making them fund their retirement because the USPS should pay for it not the tax payers which we have been paying for their retirement for the last 50 years and they contributed zero dollars to it. Keep that in mind when you go to the Post Office and the employees tell you “We don’t work for the tax payers” well who do they work for?

Sure. I'll 'make friends' with THIS overpaid public servant right along with the guy who plows the road and the guys who fetch the garbage.
They're well compensated.
I bet you feel the need to tip generously, too. Good for you, but you're being taken advantage of .

But this is efficient because technology slowed the USPS down.

UPS wants nothing to do with delivering 1st class Mail. They don't go to every House every day, and they don't want to.

I have good news for you, FERS, stands for Federal Employees Retirement System. So you do have a defined Benefit Retirement Plan, it is less than the CSRS Employees(hired before 1984)get, but you also will get Social Security and CSRS Employees didn't. You can also have a Thrift Savings Account, USPS matches a percentage of it, that is a pretty good deal.
But about the goof ball who filed the complaint with the "inspector general"??? I think they may have bumped their head.
Abusive customers are a daily job hazard, and they are usually full of crap. The whole "i pay your salary" argument is nonsense. Unless this individual buys $50,000 worth of Postage a year, they don't pay anyone's Salary.

We can't afford it? Do you honestly believe you will be able to afford $20 to send a letter to California via Fed Ex? You need to learn to think BEYOND the first stupid thought you have, Dope.
