I agree 100% about the voters, BUT that is the way it is. Just tring to cherry pick one postion and have the Council appoint someone solves nothing. It still leaves an incompetent Mayor and Council. Using your ideas, let's let the State make all the appointments for all Utica positions.

We definetly need outside help but where it's going to come from and when is the most important issue. Next year it's going to be another 20-40 per cent tax increase and Roefaro's long term contracts are still in effect for UPD/UFD plus the taxpayers are still on the hook for the 5 extra cops and 7 extra firemen from the safer grants that will be expiring. Technicly Roefaro busted Utica beyond repair. Short term borrowing is on it's way with high interest rates, we can barely afford the interest on over 63 million dollars in debt now, we are still on the hook for, hotel Utica, unsustainable pension and wages for public safety. Not-for-profits and tax exempted homeowners still are a problem plus 72 properties were just taken off the tax rolls due to the arterial project and emninent domain. Last one out of Utica turn off the lights. Roefaro and the rubber stamp company cooked are asses.
