it was joe morelle, but it was at grimaldis, when freedy cuda ran it .

yes that is the rite answer wow , does this bring back memories. joey and patsy ,red elliot , johnnie belmonte there were 3 great chefs . i always wondered why some one didnt back joey in his own resturant , what a business he would have made for a silent partner, maybe they did ive been out of area for a while just back .

joey was burn-out @ grimaldis,left there to open chesterfields,every rest. wanted joey.went to thurstons in frankfort,passed the postal exam,and is a happy guy.gomba right on the money,joey.pasty,red.johnny b were the best chefs in utica,but dont forget ang fellone,dick vatalaro !!

thanks for the info pompano , have a good weekend. funny thing is we probably know each other. or even had a drink together at grimaldis , remember the barmaid kathy ,delbuono, what a good kid she was lota fun there .lol pompano.

Here's a tip. When making your own greens, soak them in the washing machine as opposed to the sink! Much easier clean up.

I happen to think Darleen is a great barmaid/tender whatever you prefer. The ladies from back in the day are much better than any of the girls tending bar today... the younger ones may be better on the eyes, but I vote for the older ones.

The good old says of GRIMALDIS long gone. I was a bus boy back then ( Joya and Matt Cuda days )I would say one of the best jobs of my life and great money also.
