Unfortunately, one of the people will always be more committed to the friendship than the other. This doesn't make the other a bad person, just a simple fact that once this realization occurs, one of two things will happen: the person giving more will eventually grow tired and resentful of investing more into the friendship and walk away, or the taker will sense the impending "break up" if you will, and displace blame through any perceived fault in the other person that they can conjure up. Either way, the friendship is now irretrievably broken.

friendships are hard work. To be a friend you must me honest,non-judgmental, committed,interested and supportive among other things like YOU gotta be FUN. A friend can make you smile even on your worst day.
