For the record:
The governing body for skating coaches makes its findings public knowledge and it released the following:
"The PSA Committee on Professional Standards has determined that a 6 month probation is required...The committee found that Ms. Roach's resume was misleading and that the additional information requested was incomplete and not forthcoming."
The report then details what must be removed from the resume.
This was not a "witch hunt", as some said, and it was not a personal vendetta. This was a legitimate inquiry into someone's claims of experience when seeking employment. Many felt all along that those claims were questionable, and the PSA agreed. In most cases, this behavior would get you fired.
The report speaks for itself.

Her students accomplishments at Sectionals, Junior Nationals, Nationals,Junior Worlds,Grand Prix Series and Future champion Series-Not substantiated
ALL required to be removed from her credentials. Pathetic.

You can fool some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time. What goes around comes around.

Glad we left when we did...what is to be gained from all of this? Can't everybody just get on with their own lives? Center State members should be told the truth and then move on...

Ms. Julia...did you really think you could get away with everything? Your skaters deserved to get the professional skating lessons they were paying you for...shame on you!!M'Ville parents beware, she isn't all she claims... It is public record, check PSA for details. Good Luck!! All of you that have been taken in by her will need all the luck you can get!!

OMG! Is Clinton,(AKA: Pat. S.)back at spreading NEWS again? Is there no end? Come on people, this is all old nonsense . Rise above and be the one to end all this. Bashing doesn't do anyone any good. Be a skate club with some dignity.

Is it Clinton figure skating club that has a problem ...or is it Morrisville...or both? Good grief can't the kids just skate and not be subjected to people with personal issues (I understand there are a few people in both clubs with PERSONAL issues between them)Just say what's going on and be quiet already...I know ,much easier to keep this going & going & going...

For almost a year, all Clinton heard was how the problem was caused by Clinton members; Julia was blameless and had done nothing wrong. "Bashing someone??" I don't think so. Julia provided that resume to Clinton, and to to M'Ville, and to everyone who took her background at face value. "Personal issues?" Again, no. Falsifying a resume is not a personal issue; it's a professional breach of ethics and not only gets the person fired, but also becomes a known fact when seeking future employment. "A club with dignity?" The problem here is not with either Clinton's or Morrisville's lack of dignity...that lack of dignity lies elsewhere... After the charges were known there was a window to come clean and apologize. If that opportunity was taken, maybe it would be appropriate to "move on". That opportunity was ignored. Read the report, it clearly states that even after being told to substantiate her college and skating experience, she failed to do so. So should we also blame the PSA? Do you really think that everyone should just ignore this? Decisions have consequences.

Well consider me "in the loop" now...wasn't aware of all those things about Julia. She absolutely should have "come clean" as you put it. In life there are consequences for decisions we make, you are again absolutely correct. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Enough is enough; she cannot continue to represent Center State. Cut her loose and move on.

So, we pay professional lesson rates to a coach with an amateur resume??? WTF? No way! Miss Julia, stop drinking the kool aid! If you plan to continue coaching, you'd best halve your rates. Even better, how about a refund?

Who cares, it's a figure skating coach not a corporate comptroller! If she can skate well let her teach it. How many Olympians came out of this area anyway?? Hmm let me think.....NONE. Move on.

Sorry, I don't accept dishonesty at any level. You don't get it. It's not about whether she can skate or not. It's about the example she sets for my child. Letting her continue sends a message that I do not want my kid to learn. A future Olympian is not my goal; I'll settle for a good citizen.

This isn't about how good a skater or coach she is or how much she should charge. Given the facts, do you want her representing our club and teaching our kids? I vote NO.
