Mayor Palmieri has announced that the city of Utica will finally begin paving all the dirt roads in Utica. Palmieri in a news conference said that the city is planning to begin paving over all the dirt roads used by horse drawn wagons for the past 120 yrs. "It's the year 2014 so I think it's high time that citizens are able to walk & drive on a paved surface" said Palmieri. "The city has been behind the times for decades" said Palmieri & "with the new chip plant coming we need paved roads to drive on". The city will pave over 1 mile of roadway per year & the project is set for completion by the year 2100.
