There will never be anything even close to an AHL team in utica, First you need a commitment from a local fan base, sorry UC hockey does not count here, second, a viable price point for tickets? The Crunch are from $17 and above, people here don't have that kind of money , and third the AHL Is only interested in larger markets currently, how long would a team survive here? The crunch should play 5 home games a year here at the aud and they would sell out if they spread them out. Especially if they were playing the devils or rangers farm teams. That would be good enough. Everyone would be happy the aud is good enough for that and is actually nicer building then Syracuse

Or Utica can see if adirondack or Binghamton will play a few home games here so if each team did two games it would be a nice little gig each year I'm sure they would make a good crowd
