I recv'd a chk yesterday. I don't know how much I was expecting so I'm not disappointed.

The furnace is $6400 - it will cover that, but not the driveway, water softener or water heater, the kitchen and hall floors need to be replaced all the way to joists and sub floor, or the personal stuff.

However, having said that, it's a hell of a lot more help than I got from my neighbor who cannot be bothered to do anything to mitigate the extreme runoff from her land that is the direct cause of my flooding (3x). Wonderful woman.

Flooded and all wet - thxs for letting us know. Good luck to all.

If u have not recv'd disaster funds or a refusal letter follow the link below, it names every local and state officials (assembly eyc) who supported gov cuomo's flood relief program very verbally.

http://www.governor.ny.gov/press/07172013-flo...

If u feel u were treated unfairly in receiving the funds, I suggest u contact every one of these officials directly. They all have readily available #'s and email addresses.

Additionally I would contact all the politico's that accompanied cuomo to herkimer when he personally delivered checks - u can find their names in all the local papers that covered the event (aug 29?).

I don't know where u live, this site has me in Utica which is incorrect, but personally would suggest contacting brindisi and Richard Hanna. Richard hanna imparticular is very responsive to the people in his district, even on local issues.
