Are you sure that the owner didn't tell his staff to tell you to get the f*ck out. No one wants to wait on a nasty b*tch like you. Maybe you are on their list of who can't go there.
Why would there be a list of people who can't go there? That makes no sense. Wouldn't you want to make any customer feel as if they belong no matter how hard they are to wait on. And if this is the case why doesn't the owner tell the customer himself?

Are you one of the many staff memebers that the owner has fired for being a drunk or stealing from him? I know the owners and they are nice people. It's a shame that people have to bad mouth them because they are angry that they no longer work there.
I have been to Alee's numerous times and the food is always wonderful. For the most part the staff is friendly and go above and beyond what you would expect.

Why should any wait person be expected to tolerate a nasty customer? That makes NO sense at all. If you have had such horrible experiences there, why do you go back? Why not find a new place to go?

First off I never said I had a bad experience there. You should read the post before you respond to it. Second, I agree that no one should have to tolerate a nasty customer, but in the real world you do if you want people to come back to your restaurant. Maybe they should put a list of rules up before you go into the restaurant so everyone knows how to act. All I said was that I don't understand why there would be a list of people that can't eat there. You have to take what you can get in this area. You can't pick and choose your customers. That's what makes no sense. Oh yeah, read before you make yourself sound stupid.

Its not an unheard of practice. Take-out places will "black-list" you if you don't pick food up.(The convenience of caller-ID)

Also there is a list of rules. It's everywhere. It's called social decorum and societal expectations. Too bad so many people around here act like they were raised in a barn.

My comment was to ALL the people saying negative things about Alee's, therefore, I do not sound stupid, just saying to ALL that if they have had such a bad expereince there, why not go elsewhere?

You do sound stupid because you obviously can't read. I said I have never had a bad experience at Alee's. Was just wondering why you would kick people out of a restaurant. Do you get it now or will I have to say it a third time. You are a waste of time and so is this topix garbage. I heard about this site and wanted to check it out. Never again GET A LIFE

My girlfriend and I went to Alee's recently...food was bland and the service was ok. What we noticed most was an older woman with white hair who seemed unhappy to be there, let alone have customers there. I have since come to understand it is the owners wife. Anyone else notice somehting "off" about her?

I ate there last week and the service was great but the prime rib was not the same meal that I have had there many times before. It was bland tasing and not as tender as previous meals. The first thing came to my mind was it was a different chef.

What has happened to Alee's restaurant in utica? It used to be a great place for food, drinks, and great atmosphere. Now the entire menu has changed and not for the better. Change in management? Change in ownership? What happened?
The owner who's name is Brian sold the restaurant to his sister,, I guess he wanted out of the restaurant business, I dont think she is doing as well as he did.

I know for a fact that Alees Rest on Elizabeth St in Utica is not owned by any Brian, no Brian even works there. Maybe YOU are confused. The owner is Gerry

The owners name is DEFINATLEY Jerry, he does have a wife who sometimes is hard to deal with, and the chef is NOT the same. Luke left to open his own restaurant and though i havnt been in a while, I hear the food is not as good as a couple months ago. He is one of the few real chefs in this area so he is a tough act to follow.
