There's only Pumpernickel's in New Hartford and they're very good. I don't even know if Casab's is still open.

Mannys back in the late 70's to early 90's was the best ever. Today, Utica doesn't have the right mix of people to appreciate a real NY Deli. Sad but true.

If you mean a deli in the grocery or meat store then I would vote for Happanowicz or Chanatry's...

It's the bread that makes a great sub or sandwich. Most places I have been to you can tell it's day old bread!!I hate to admit, but SUBWAY always has fresh bread....

It's a sub-shop, if that's what the poster was looking for since they did not clarify. Do you just troll topic to unleash your negativity??? Actually proves your ignorant way of thinking.

The thread is "Best deli in Utica." Delis are not sub shops and vice-versa.

There are no delis in Utica. The Salumeria was the last and the best. I now go to Lombardis on Butternut Street in Syracuse. Nothing but the best imports!
