He has his clerk Pat, change dates on cases so he can delay decisions on cases. Standards and goals. I think this is falsifying court documents and should be looked into by The Attorney General's office. Not only that, but he uses state equipment, and state employees on state time to make copies of his political material.

He must have learned that trick from his buddies John D.and Luke C. the pair of felon pigeons.

You should file a complaint with New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Don't let these criminals with black robes get away with this injustice:

Judge Griffith...I cannot talk about whether or not he misuses his authority and has staff take care of things they should not...But working within the family court system, I can tell you that he frustrates alot of people with his decisions....not just because he does not rubber stamp DSS demands...but because he is all over the board and his decisions take a life time to get...At least with Judge Romano...whom this forum has trashed...she makes her decisions and is DONE...I know alot of people that are with the Family Court system and DSS employees that do not plan on voting for him again...

Sounds like a upset attorney didn't get the decision he or she wanted. Go figure. So what if he used state help and what ever, there are politicians who do worse and after all he is a tax payer too.

You people are f*cking idiots.

I know Judge Griffith and the guy does his best to make sure that the orders are in the best interest of the children. To bad if he pisses of DSS. His job is NOT to please them.

I've NEVER heard of his clerk Steve changing any dates either. The guy is a nice guy. Where is your proof of this?

I wonder what Family Court blood sucker lawyer who didn't win their case started this one.

you work with the family court? answer me this then. How come the court wont grant me custody of my daughter even though she is a ward of the state(having been taking for her mother). Is it because Im in the Army? Is it because the state doesnt want to lose my 700 dollars a month in child support? Its been a year. I want my daughter. NOW!
Maybe because your parenting skills suck. Have you ever thought about that?

i have no idea. It is some lawyer....it seems like a concerted effort by social services and the court to keep her out of my hands....WHY?
You need to get more involved in the process if you want her. You first should know the attorney that is representing her in court, so that you can make sure he/she is doing what is really in the best interest of the child and not the best interest of the attorney. You should also begin finding out why she is still in DSS custody when she has a parent that is willing and able to take her. You also need to go in person, or at the very least by phone and get your point out to the judge. That requires you to file a petition in Oneida County,(if that's where she is), seeking custody. You can get help here and file there. Go see a JAG officer. If you're at Hood, they are some good ones. Now comes the hard stuff. Are/were you a good parent, have you been involved as much as possible, do you have someone that will care for her when you get sent overseas? All of that will be asked in court. I agree you shouldn't have to prove yourself, you are dad. But, sometimes you do what you have to. BTW do you have a lawyer in Utica? If not, find out who represents your daughter so you don't try to contact the same one. Last thing. How old is the child, and if she's an infant were you married to mom at the time of birth, did you sign any papers after her birth? You may have to take a paternity test. That too can be without you having to go there. Call the family court in Oneida county and ask for help in doing this. Like I said, go to a JAG office. Check any court papers you have, they all will say the name of the law guardian.

good luck, but, don't give up your source of income in haste. talk to the JAG officer first.

If you are paying support, then paternity has been established. Have you contacted your daughter's caseworker? If not, you definitely should as soon as possible and maintain contact. If your daughter is in the foster care system, they will count it against you, if you don't.

She's right I missed that you are paying support. You have already established paternity, go forward from there. Keep records

You also might want to avoid posting in such forums as "Any Good Marijuana in East Utica". Saying that there "isn't any in the northeast" might send the wrong message to the wrong person.
