Ha Ha New Hartford! You asked for it and now you got it. The NH village is planning a zoning change to allow subsidized housing in the village off campaign. Road. There will be 60 units coming so enjoy the increased traffic and best of all increased crime!

The school district is pushing it as misguided attempt to bolster sagging school enrollment numbers.

This is the first step of the Utica-ifacation of New Hartford. Now that the Utica schools are bankrupt and full to capacity NH is the next town that will "benefit" from an influx of refugees. Good luck NH! Couldn't have happened to a better town.

BTW there will be a public hearing on Monday at Butler Hall about this development. Go and hear the good news! LOL

This post is nothing but the concerned morons of nh being bored. There is nothing going on of which they are fictisously implying. There is in fact interest in this property for development. What's wrong with that? Getting property back on the rolls is what Goverment should do. These hucksters would rather we all look at a rotting shell of a building not doing anything but being an eyesore as well as a saftey concern. Typical of this moronic group of imbeciles. Never have anything good to offer....Just willy nilly baloney. How easy to complain and moan and never help do anything good. Disgusting and filthy is what you are. Your blog is dry, so you're stirring the pot on here.

Are you mad cause someone didn't pay tribute and run it by your bully group beforehand ? Why would you want that parcel of land left as it is? I just don't understand your way of thinking. Not to mention the average person with half a wit about themselves knows all about how you do business by now. I think lunatic fringe sums it up.

Yes. We should all be against development. Brining in new taxes is supposed to be bad ? We should all want to look at a shell of a building that ls there now?

Don't you ever tire of your endless crusade against everyone that doesn't follow your cliff notes.

Thanks everyone for confirming that its true.
Taxes? Low income subsidized housing doesn't pay property taxes.

If you live in the village of New Hartford wait until you see the mess and dust tearing down the factories will create. I hope you enjoy breathing in asbestos! And the noise! No peaceful summer for you.

If you think that car break ins in New Hartford are bad now wait until the low-income housing units are filled up. Its a shorter walk from Campiagn Road to the village then it was from Utica.

They have no intention of telling you. The Usual Suspects are caught with their hand in the cookie jar yet again. NH elites taking care of themselves while ruining quality of life for everyone else.

There is no hand In the cookie jar. Just a group of self important twits hoping to fill some idle time. Not every thing that is proposed has some nefarious purpose.

No one is taking care of anyone. And what's all this about nh elites? More usual nonsense from some ignorant fringe element group that no one takes serious. The funny thing about all this is the group that is posting this just simply wants themselves to be those very elites. It's all very subjective and arbitrary.

Only one ruining much is you whiners with all your whining because you feel the need to be informed of everything. Well how dee doo! Next time anything is ever proposed with the town -village or anything else in time and space in nh,we will make sure we run it last party headquarters for your blessing. Everyone knows your group is the only honest and decent group of people that have ever been assembled since Jedediah Sanger walked the earth. And you people know what is best for all of us. God I'm so happy to live in a time when one civic group knows all the correct answers for the rest of the community. You're a regular Politburo.

I would be against subsidized housing. I am sure many others would not be for this either. Will the public be notified and have an opportuntity to voice their opinion?

Where in the village would this be and which one of the town's fathers will be cashing in on it?

The development will be on Campion Road. I am so looking forward to breathing in cement dust, rust particles, copious amounts of diesel fuel and of asbestos as the old factories are torn down.

I can't wait to meet my new neighbors too and have them stop by and pick over my stuff while I am not home or even better while I am sleeping in my bed!

Don't worry about traffic though, very few subsidized housing tenants have cars any way. Besides, everything that they need will be available at the many homes along Pearl St!

New Hartford.... making everyone wealthy, one developer at a time

Wait a minute. I was thinking. Maybe it's not a bad idea. I'll open a taxi service & with my connections with Tony, I'll get a no bid contract to supply welfare rides for all the good folks on P.A. I'll make a fortune then blow town like my good buddy Sherry did. I can't lose!
You scum bags. It's quite possible that these will be high income rentals. With nano coming in why wouldn't a community want to attract some of those people to set up shop in there community ?

Of course the concerned nincompoops know it all and just want our town to return to the stage coach line that was once Seneca turnpike. Maybe we can get genny down to one lane for you morons too-Go back to dirt roads. You are so anti progress - and if you don't have your own mitts on any project you bash it without all the facts. it's disgusting.

High income rentals on Campion Road? Behind the NH SHopping Center, across from Joe Tahans Outlet Center, and near all the noise from the arterial. Yep, that's what it must be...

Sorry.... Its confirmed Low income subsidized housing. New Hartford will now be renamed " West Utica".

I see a lot of anger from the NH Friends and Family Plan that they have been caught trying to sneak this one in but not one of them is denying that it true. I hope all of the New Hartford Village residents will be excited to meet their new neighbors. I know the new section 8 residents are excited to get to know you and your homes!

Isn't the point school subsidized housing? My bigger concern is that these morons do not have the developers upgrade the utilities like water sewer, storm water, roads etc. They give pilots and then use taxpayer money to solve the problems the development causes. Case in point is Larry Adler and the business park. Who paid for the Yager and and the roads? Who suffered the flooding from Consumer square etc?

Its perfect location for low income housing. Everyone can walk over to Cavallos for a little partying and they can walk to to the NH shopping Center to pick up high quality goods from Herb Phillipsons and Ollies.

Come on New Hartford, embrace the excitement that diversity brings. Look at how well its doing for Utica!

And there it really is.!!!!!!!!!

This whole charade and war campaign hasn't anything to do with village forefathers or the public well being in general. It all comes back to this crusade against Addlur and anyone of the business class who might want to invest and put back into the community. Haha. God forbid anyone wants to try and keep our area moving forward. Tsk tsk

How can you people get so wrapped up in this? Good luck with your quest. No one gives a poop.
You try over and over again all hoping for a better outcome to your craziness. In the end it is simply the definition of insanity. But hey, have a ball trying.
