Place is going down the crapper. Can anyone figure out way Dan D retired so abruptly? Oh. What happened to Dale B.? That poor soul. Gave his life to mother mutual. They chit all over him. They should look at there own track record and fire themselves. So many mistakes. The best thing that can happen is they sell and get rid of management and HO. At least jobs will be saved.

My neighbor recently retired from the place. He says after you've reached a certain age, they ease you out the door, whether you want to or not. There are actually laws against sh.t canning people because of their age, but evidently, the victims over there don't realize it.

I know people who have worked there and that still work there.... Guess its not a good place to work. Thank god I work for myself and don't have to deal with retarded management or any other jackass for that matter. Seems tome from what I've heard from the people I know that work there and what you guys have written about it this place that management is lazy and don't know shyt. Thank god even in my darkest hour I have never applied and I'm very well educated but refuse to work for morons...

Still being an employee of the company and trying to get out; I am so unbelievably saddened with the way the company I once took pride in has become; I've been there a long enough time to know a lot of people and see first hand the shady ways of people to get ahead. I recently spoke to CB, JO, and CM and cant get over who MS is as a person - never have I witnessed someone break every policy and procedure time and again for their own benefit and only then to cover it up and continue to work there all while the blame falls on someone else, all while the board protected the wrong person. Very Sad! All I can hope is that the truth comes out, unfortunately, still working there, I cant be the one to get involved or my *ss is in the next phase of early retirement that I cant afford.

others to blame...the board they should have been watching the shop instead of planning where they were going golf and drink next. This credit union just proved that they do nothing for it's members. I urge the members to contact the NCAA and have this board investigated they too are to be blamed. Anyone (both men and women) can sue under the Age Discrimination Law IF they can prove in Court that the reason they were "fired" was because they were targated because of their age -or impossible "goals" were set for them on an "Action Plan" -or- Mgm't found one LITTLE mistake while the employee can prove he has an unblemish record that consisted of raises, awards, and achievments.

I know of TWO former Hartford Ins. employees (A Manager and a Marketing Rep) that sued and BOTH collected big, big awards. Both had lawyers outside of Utica - there are none here that could handle this type of case.

Mgm't target the older worker because they are at the higher level of the salary scale and can be replaced by someone right out of college that knows absolutely nothing but "book theory" on what insurance is all about and how it is operated, for 1/2 the money paid to the more older and experienced employee.

As anyone that has worked in insurance for more than 5 years, we all know YOU CAN'T LEARN INSURANCE OUT OF A BOOK!!!!

Utica Mutual has been this way since I can remember (going back to 1970).

The Mgm't there is more concerned about their "image" and making friends with those that can further their career and position than they are about working for the good of the Company and having happy employees.

Utica Mutual's reputation in the Insurance World is rock bottom!

Wow - the rumor pool just got a little too crowded! Know the facts, then talk! Total Ignorance. Prove it wrong! Have NCAA audit the years in question and MS, see what happens, then talk! What do you have to lose? Prove MS innocent before placing judgment, there is definitely more to the story, find out! Ask others involved during those years, wouldn't you like to know their input; too many questions and cover ups to ignore. Why is the board pres. covering the truth? Does MS have something on her as leverage? Easier to blame one and hope it to be behind them, then to face the truth and the possibility of the doors being closed. Investigate it! Do your part as a member instead of hiding behind topix running your mouth only knowing a very small portion of what you believe to be true. Have the CU audited! If you are a member, you have a stake in finding out how secure your money is, so does the insurance carrier for the CU, so does the CU assoc., this situation is far from over and the longer MS pretends, the longer and more severe the punishment for her as well, as well as the Board. I hope CM doesn't take all the blame for something she got caught up in. Very Sad! Ask the questions to the right people, not just one sided bull and run with it!

Hey Dougie. We really f... up. Remember when they told us not to buy founders group, we should have listened! I am so Brain washed, why did we buy founders? Even though we have good news to tell our agents(whatever that is), founder/flounders group was downgraded to B+. Let me get this straight, we bought a company for how many millions of dollars?, found out that there claims are under reserved(should have known this before it was bought), they have lost money since we bought them,and they are increasing our combined ratio. Hey Dougie... Tell me again why we bought them. That's right, I ran those numbers through predictive analytics(the crystal ball that I have in my room) and it told me to buy it.

Is this true? They purchased another company that was downgraded?! And it's bleeding money? Did they do any research?

Wow. Let me guess: there's now a huge push to cut expenses company wide and the rank and file will be the ones sacrificing (and shouldering the blame) for this?

Its true. founders nickname is flounder. Its bleeding us. However, there is a.host of other issues and problems. The company is in a real financial trouble. If we don't have a couple good quarters we could really go.down the tubes.
