Utica National welcomes a new charitable organization with a one million dollar check. Wow, I honestly couldn't believe it. Utica National surprises me as how much they underestimate and basically screw over their employees. My God. Well, there's your guys' raise for this year. Oh, and don't forget "we have to keep our expenses down."

The management from the bottom to the top is atrocious. The bottom line the company continues to lose money. Even after laying off and terminating around 175 employess from last year to current. The problem is not the workers its management. Must be a ton of in breeding going on. I believe dougie and brian l are from camden and ilion, respectively. The mug shots of those cow pluggers look like them.

There was about a good ten second long pause of silence after the 1 million dollar donation was announced and Doug was waiting for people to applaud.

You people need to form a labor Union. Tell Robinson and all of his cronies the party is over. And do not tell me you can not unionize because you can and if they fire you contact the NLRB

Utica National gives 1 million to some charity, and they announce a day later they are taking away out Christmas bonus and that they are decreasing the 401k match and we're told our expense is too high. Wake up Doug! You're a failure as a CEO.

So.....where do you think they come up with a million 'extra' dollars, in a time when ins companies have been hit with record payouts from natural disasters? Hmm? You think they might overcharge a bit for their product, the dupes pay, and they then take that money and 'give' it away, looking like local heros. And everybody claps. Despicable. Same way govt works. Making friends on your dime. But at least that's voluntary. You don't have to do business with Utica National. You can choose to stay and over pay. Clearly they know what to do with yoru money rather than leave it with you.

Who cares about making friends in a business, without the employee, there is NO business. Obviously you don't work at Utica National because you're defending them. They treat us like dirt when WE are the reason they have been here for 100 years. We don't need yet another bogus charity to donate to. That money could be given to the employees. It's perks and bonuses like that that make an employee want to stay and want to work harder and help the company progress. Donating to charity makes employees outraged. Wake up

Why are they hiring new people when they are letting so many go? Is this a scheme to reduce salaries? It also reduces the knowledge base and the efficiency of the company. DUH!

If you noticed, the new people are either part timers or Indians. Either way, they don't give benefits to either.

No Christmas bonus? Who cares it wasn't that much anyway. Decreased 401k match? Why are you people working at such a chit hole. That place is such a joke and so is your head leader. Any place else has to have better benefits and pay!
