Great times seeing these guys. Didn't they play on Sundays at Hotel Willowvale?

805 was the best. Such a unique and catchy sound. I was always surprised they didn't make it big.

The Frogs were great! I worked on their crew for a few weekends back in '77. Had a fantastic time with those guys.

What ever happened to the groups Sail and 805?

Both had albums in the early 70's.

805 was very late 70's / early 80's - up until about 1985 i believe before they called it quits

they got signed to RCA (which was their first mistake) and released two albums, "stand in line" and "question of tomorrow"

they scored a minor hit with the song "young boys" from their first record - had a video on MTV also

from what i understand, RCA gave them very little time, money or PR

and also it seems their egos got the best of them and they gave the record company a hard time about almost everything, especially who they would play on a bill with

in the end they went down in flames without much fanfare and they all went their separate ways

How about the Alligator's?

Keel the Puppet was one of my favorites.

Four Acres was the best for live entertainment. I think 15 or older was OK with the doorman.

I remember Moss Back Mule Band. I used to see them at the Lodge in Sandy Pond, NY in the 70's. They were my favorite band - I always had a good time when they were playing.

It seems like I remember a lot of these local bands on an album that WOUR put out. I think I have it somewhere. Anybody remember that?
I remember a song called "Let It Slide" by The Frogs and another song called "Shorty's Dilemma" that was more country rock by a band I can't remember the name of.
There used to be a lot of good bands around here.

SOB, The Solid Oak Band ruled the local scene. Way crazy partying and lots of women. It didn't get any better than that. Remember the Sundays at the Pine Lodge in Chadwicks and of course the 59/69 Tavern on Route 5!!
