hanna goes on to win with no opposition from the local dummycrats. Very odd that there was no democrat running. Whats up with that .you so called leaders of the democrat party. There was an opening this year with the spit in tne republicans. This has to be the biggest blunder of the democrats in this area in a long time. I really think the local democrats should get some real democrat leadership ,not some left over republicans. The party need an overhaul. In utica they are all over the board. in the county the dems are in the minority on the legislators and the county ex ecutive is republican.

It's a good thing that the democrats are the minority here. A long time ago everyone was republican.nif you wanted a county job, you had to be republican. It's the way things should be. Not the liberal way..........the county is starting to see more gays, interracial marriage, and everybody has to be politically correct. This whole county is going downhill fast. It's going on a slip n slide now that Hanna's back in.

Because unlike that moron Claudia Tenney, the Dems realize Hanna is doing a good job and can't be beaten.

Finally, I agree with Claudia Tenney on something. This primary was
a positive experience:)
Now, we can look forward to her having the same experience in November.

I imagine it has to be quite liberating, now that the primary is over, to just let all that bottled up racism and homophobia out into the open.

Sadly, I suspect you were sold a bill of goods that Ms. Tenney was going to get rid of all the gays and the brown people.

goes back to blue dog arcuri. when he deserted the party by not supporting health care reform he left the door wide open for hanna. i didn't vote that line at all that year and neither did many fellow dems. at least hanna has shown some willingness to cooperate across party lines on occasion. although he'll never get my support he's the better choice compared to tea bagger tenney. but at the end of the day i'm most thankful that our state includes downstate.(aka "civilization")

LOL your ignorance is astounding! i'll type slowly so you can understand. the winner of this primary wins the general election by default. it's hanna who will now run un-opposed in november. try to keep up moron! or maybe you're holding out for a "write in" victory? who's your candidate? LOL

They have a filing deadline for independent candidates for federal office August 5 to run in the general election http://ballotpedia.org/New_York_elections,_20... since Hanna did win by a slim margin this could have been a coup to see if they could pull off an upset later. Tenney was a test run and I don't think this is over with yet.

Not Quite True says, "It ain't over till it's over." Guess what? The fat lady's singing. Grasping at straws would be an understatement. If you really think the PACS that supported Tenney in a losing effort would now put up more money to support another try in this election cycle, I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. Like Hanna or not, he is the Congressman-elect. He will have his Republican majority along with a significant number of Democrats and Independents. Projecting any other outcome isn't speculation, it's fantasy. Get over it.

start with the fact that Hanna voted to repeal the ACA umpteen times. but your point is valid on some other fronts. although i'd sooner stick a fork in my eye than vote for any repub i'll admit that hanna is an honorable man with the ability to move to the left when his conscience dictates. not that any of it matters now...
