good for them. If you want the money, then take the test. Or maybe you should print your salary. If you have a job.

I feel as safe in NH as I do in Whitesboro but in Whitesboro they have half the pay and half the officers. Only a idiot would think the more you pay for something the better it is. Are you saying that if we spend twice as much as we do today on salaries we will see half the crime in NH be solved. You can not fix stupid

People do you realize how many Petit Larceny complaints NHPD handles. I realize there is low crime in the areas where people live but think of how many Utica Sh--t bums go to New Hartford and steal. I bet the figure would amaze everyone. They have to be responsible for every business and restaurant in their jurisdiction.

They've been able to increase salaries in small increments over the years and us residents just chalked it up to normal inflationary adjustments. This last tax increase was an eye-opener and made everyone look a little deeper at what's going on and we're not liking it. Either take a pay cut or do more with less personnel, it's their choice.

Someone should look at Kirkland PD next. Dan English wants to be the next New Hartford PD and build his own empire. He cries when Deputies or Troopers even stop a speeder in his (LOL) town. It's a good thing that Meelan has given him a wake up call and is cutting back his out of control spending!!! But English still made over 90 Thousand dollars last year. Not too Shabby Dan so quite your crying and go on ALL the calls in the Town that you wanted.

Dan will cry and complain when a deputy or trooper stops a car in his big town but hes the first to turn a fatal car wreck, or even a homicide (kid that killed his grandfather) over to the county or state.

Whitesboro PD makes more money than New Hartford PD per hour and they are facing a 73% increase in taxes. How many cases do they handle?
