I would be willing to bet that "Re" could run the NH athletic department better than anyone they have had in there since alberico.
Put her on the committee instead of pope or bovi.
I mean seriously, two gym teaches, there is an objective opinion. Lax and modified wrestling? I'm sure they'll say, "Umm yeah, we have all screwed up NH athletics, with the year around practices, the 3rd grade summer leagues, and the parent assistant coaches." Uh no. They are going to say, "Things are fine. Its just a down stretch. Chicken salad, something, something. It will be awesome when this class of 7th graders makes it up to varsity."
what sport do you expect the 7th graders to impact?

If you didn't notice we spot each team we play 11 points and then try to come back. It's a bold strategy that nobody understands except experienced and qualified AD's and their coaches. It is very similar to our football strategy to run the spread whether we have the team make-up to do it or not. In each case our 15 year strategy to win a game is going to make all you know nothings go away.

None. That quote was me summing up the mentality of NH athletic/phys. ed. dept insider.

NH insider will not admit to or accept any problem that might implicate a coach, an administrator, or an existing policy. Instead, they will blame poor performance on a declining enrollment, or on the talent pool.

The favorite NH insider response is, "This class is just down." That is then followed by, "Just wait for the xth graders, that class is stacked, we will dominate when they get to varsity."

Another words, "We suck at preparing kids to compete. Unless you give us talent across the board, expect to lose. So get used to losing, questionable sportsmanship, grumbling, a lack of control of the athletes on and off the field, and parents that negatively insert themselves into the program."

Parents have no business being involved once a kid reaches 7th grade. IE: FD It is nice they want to help but it is improper conduct and sends a bad taste and a very bad message. This totally should not be allowed and our AD should stop it. Very bad for team unity.

First of all nobody is laughing. Nobody worth anything is worried about who will laugh last. In fact, you are sad, if you think you can make your case stronger by calling kids failures, or by sharing your psychology prophecies about how kids raised a certain will turn out.

There will always be parents with power. There will always be some that will abuse power to get their kids an advantage. You crying about it anonymously online is never going to change that or make it go away.

In the real world, this isn't about any of that. This is about a district holding itself to a higher standard. There is a right way to do things, and a wrong way. If you are not doing things the right way, then you deserve whatever negative outcome results.

Want to ignore it and keep doing things wrong?...don't be upset or surprised when you get criticized, when kids opt not to participate, when family's choose other districts, when kids break rules, or when you lose... a lot.

make it personal ok ...your spelling and sentence structure is horrid and I am not crying about anything I am stating facts-kids suffer for the actions of the parent-look around you its staring you in the face in the news everyday. And I am not anonymous I am one who started the committee although i cannot control who was appointed to it or how it is run. It turned out to be a response from Bobby that appears to have addressed the issues but in reality is all just fodder like your ironic statement that I am anonymous when in fact you are the unknown, at least that is what you think- we talked in person just last week!!

I wasn't trying to get personal. I was trying to point out that the AD's kid's personalities or futures shouldn't be part of this discussion. If you bring that into it you lose credibility, imo it sounds more like sour grapes.

Stick to what is wrong. There is plenty. And it is more than the AD or his family.

And anyway, Sad Truth Zabba sounds pretty anonymous to me. If you started the committee, and you want to go on the topix record, then just use your name.

horrid sentence structure online! oh no. i am so sorry!

Pete,
Make sure your secretary denies the fact you called the maintanence guy a "fagoooooooooooot" and a "puuuuuuuuuuuuuusy" for not going against his boss or for not being intimidated by your awesome presence and bullying tactics and everything will be OK.

Yeah. You got it wrong though. I'm not getting bullied by NH sports.

Sad Truth is. He is complaining about the AD's kids because his kids didn't make the team or see the field enough. Sour grapes. Chances are if they were good enough, they would play. Every parent thinks their kid is the best one on the field. So he should man up if his are on the bench too much for his liking. Maybe they get better?...or he could just try to start a committee, cause that always helps.

I would like to see the opposite of soft. Can the AD. Can the Super. Get back to the days when coaches were qualified and experienced at the varsity level. They get paid. This is not a parent volunteering to help out ayso. Get someone at the top who will set standards, and snuff out the in-crowd hiring committee nonsense. Hiring now is are all: "we don't like Callan, or Prue, snff, snff." and "Our buddies, buddy coaches football, he could do it."

Keep what you have and you will continue to have clowns running programs. The kids know it and that's why some stay home and play xbox, and the ones that show up have that look during games like they are just waiting for their coach to screw up, again.

Same issues or worse. As long as the AD has his buddies in control, the program will crumble. Same coach as boys varsity. Conflict of interest, this should never happen or be aloud. But as long as Pete is the AD, it will only get worse.

Not unexpectedly, another respected life-long New Hartford resident, teacher, coach, resigns. Ed Prue, the Girl's Varsity Basketball Coach, not the AD's choice for the job, has decided that he's had enough abuse by the Administration. Another great guy, like Jones and Callan, of integrity and kids first thinking gone. The AD will do anything to get his minions/wife in place as coaches to protect his incompetance. And so it continues to go at New Hartford until the New Hartford community stops being bullied, stops being afraid, and stands up. Get involved NH. I am.
