What happened to Keeler? His show started on Monday of last week, then when I tuned in on Friday, he wasn't there. Some of the comments made by the on-air DJ's made it sound like he didn't show up for the show. Anyone know what's up?

BORING!!!! Can't stand to listen to IBX anymore. Hopefully it won't last. Tried twice and couldn't stand 5 minutes to his st st stuttering and mumbling. Great call management @ WIBX. Pat yourself on the back for this move.

The problem is that there is no clearly defined purpose for the show. Part of the blame for that falls on TownSquare's management, but they're just going along with what Keeler promised.

The crux of the issue is that Keeler can't do a straight talk show. Ironically, it's for the same two reasons his old sidekick Mark is such an embarrassment on WUTQ. First, they don't have any real education. That's not necessarily a drawback if a person is intellectually curious, but neither Piersma and Keeler have that trait. They simply don't have the knowledge base, either through formal education or self-directed inquiry, to have a clue about most issues. Listen carefully and you'll hear it whenever they're challenged. They'll immediately change the subject or fall back on an easily remembered boilerplate response.

The second factor isn't exclusive to Piersma or Keeler, but it's a death knell for anyone doing interviews- they won't ask hard questions. The reason why should be obvious to anyone who's had contact with the local "insiders".

The shame of it is that there's already someone in the TownSquare studio who could do an amazing show if she was allowed to- Kristine Bellino. She's smart, well educated, and has had some incredible life experiences. Her politics are a little lefty for my tastes, but she's not an empty suit. Get her talking about something she's passionate about and the sheer depth of knowledge she brings to the discussions is impressive.

To stick someone like that into a supporting role for "personalities" like Justin and Keeler is just a waste.

Why would I care who you are? The problem is easy to see, as is the solution. You want a talk show with some real chops and depth? Give Bellino a major role. You want the same old tired hack radio? Keep things as they are.

Hey everyone the "owner" of Roser Communication Network, A.K.A. "Captain Cokehead" is wearing his ego on his sleeve again!

You should be so lucky to get his advice. How many radio stations do you own?

From the looks of things everyone in the Krew who listened to him is doing pretty well for themselves. The rest? They're just grubbing in the dirt.

Let's see some legit numbers. Ratings don't matter. Simply owning a few radio stations doesn't matter either. What's the monthly ad revenue...on Kiss? It's a kids station. Even with good ratings, it'll never pull in big money. Bug? Give me a break - maybe a couple grand a month. WUTQ? Again, maybe a couple grand a month. The "agency"? What a crock. Most wouldn't even recognize that as an agency, just a front to shuffle revenue to those "also ran" stations. From owner to employees, there's very little actual marketing skill to be found there. Do the employees actually get paid with money or "trade"? Paychecks that bounce or cash under the table? Neither option looks like a real job. So good luck doing what you're doing. Any success that you think you've achieved will be short lived. Your only possible meal ticket is selling those sticks (that's radio slang for selling the towers/frequencies/licenses and getting out of the biz). On the bright side, you'll have a great view of the construction on Genesee St.

I don't need any "radio advice" I'm good for life dreamer. Wishful thinking idiot! So now you are attacking The Dr.(admittedly not my favorite he talks sometimes and completely screws up facts) and Frank McBride? You just think you're King Radio shit here don't you Grant? What't the problem Grant "Cokehead" Roser of Roser Communications? You sure act angry for someone who goes around calling everyone else angry. Keep digging.

The funny thing is that he has such little understanding of how radio really works! What thread was he commenting on Frank?

Short lived? Over thirty years of making money. Millions of dollars worth.

Some people like Keeler and Super Mario are happy making a TV show that's lucky to clear $200. That's grubbing in the dirt for scraps. Other people make multi-million dollar deals.

I know which team I'd bet on.

Yet somehow, despite all that ignorance about how "radio works", he's the one with the cars, the glorious house, and a big fat bank account. Can you even imagine what it's like to have an incredible lifestyle like that?

So who really gets "how radio works". Keeler? The guy who got laughed at when he begged 95X for a job? Who do you think they called when Billy was trying to sell his hacky schtick?
