Here’s why:

•Hanna is the only Republican member of the Lesbian Gay Bi-sexual and Transgender caucus

•Richard Hanna voted to raise the National Debt Limit

•Hanna pulled strings for defense contracts in companies he’s heavily invested

•He was the only Republican to vote against a January bill that would have banned health insurance plans from covering abortion services under the Affordable Care Act

•In his first term, he voted against legislation that would have cut off federal aid for Planned Parenthood

•Richard Hanna 3rd most liberal Republican in Congress according the National Journal

Only by taking the facts away and using the slightest bit of truth do you get the statement above.

This is why we can't have nice things. People like this would rather lie to get "their" candidate elected.

How about instead, you tell us what your candidate will do instead of what their opponent has done. I have yet to hear a single thing Tenney has done or will do.

Tenney hasn't learned that liberal Republicans get elected in this area. The majority of Republican voters in this district are not Tea-Party followers. They believe in gay rights, realize that Roe vs Wade will not get overturned, that Obamacare is here to stay (or at least until we get a Republican in the Whitehouse) and that the war to prevent the raising of the debt ceiling was un-winnable. Hanna might have been the only Republican vote on a couple of those bills, but they were doomed to defeat even if he had voted with his party. It's a shame that Hanna is ostracized for voting his mind and not blindly following his party down the road to obscurity. Hard-core Republicans can no longer win a national race. Unless and until the Republicans soften there stance they will be a loud (and obnoxious) voice crying in the wilderness. They are losing most of us long-standing Republican moderates. Unless we follow the total party line we made to believe we are not true Republicans. By excluding the moderates they are losing the majority of their supporters.

I have no problem with a moderate Republican representative.

I DO have a problem with a COWARDLY moderate Republican representative.

There is no Democrat running this year so this is a deciding primary, if you are unable to stand your ground in this election you have no business being in Congress.

Debates have value. Debates are part of a democracy. Coronations are NOT what we need.

Don't forget Claudia Tenney's Law. She pushed unconstitutional legislation that would have banned the anonymous criticism of politicians.

It's telling that her own supporters won't comply with her demands that a name and home address be attached to any post questioning a politician.

Not a supporter of hers, just don't like an open road to elective office especially with the problems we have around here. I'd like to see at least one event that is not so scripted

There's nothing cowardly about refusing a debate. Tenney uses the "hit and run" mouth approach where she will spew half truths or lies to put her opponent on the defense. Hanna is smart not to give her that opportunity. Want to talk coward? Tenney crossed me the wrong way and when I caught her alone drinking at a bar she curled up into a ball and tried to crawl into her glass of wine. She loves attention and title and that's what she wants. She's a lousy, lazy politician.

Hanna is a liberal Republican! No way! I have received flyer after flyer from Hanna touting how he is "the conservative candidate". LOL

The truth is, Hanna is not the same candidate that he ran as when he sought office, Back then, he was a Jeffersonian "Citizen representative" who would self impose term limits on himself. He was a moderate on social issues and fiscally conservative. He also had strong grassroots support.

Hanna today is radical leftist on social issues and fiscally liberal. No Democrat had a chance against him because there was no way they could position themselves to the left of Hanna without being a far, far left radical. Hanna is so far deep in the beltway cocktail parties it's not funny and his support from an out out town, billionaire radical gay republican is is ridiculous.

As a republican who worked hard to get Hanna elected I was very offended by his statement that woman should't support republicans and that republicans are "extremists". Why should republican work hard to get him elected?

I'm not voting to Claudia because I like her, but I am voting against Hanna. He's getting stale and he has forgot everything he stood for when he first ran for office

What people fail to realize is that, as a guy willing to talk to Dems and not vote the straight Rep party line (esp on the nutty stuff), he greatly increases his value to us in the district.

Our congressional district has not seen this committed and hardworking a Representative in my memory. His commitment to constituent service is among the very best in all of Congress.

No one is saying that congressman shouldn't talk to other congressmen the other party. Let me ask you this: Who is the Democratic counterpart to Hanna? Can you name one Democratic congressman who called his party leadership "extremists" ? Can you name one who told women to vote Republican. No, you can't. Democrats have more party discipline then that. Personally, I think Hanna is planning to switch parties anyway and he has a deal with local democrats. As a Republican I feel used by Hanna.
As for no debate what's up with that. Why is Hanna afraid to publicly defend his record? If Tenney is a liar it will come out in the debate. Hanna's unwillingness to debate was the last straw for m. I'm going to give Tenney the benefit of the doubt.

Wait a minute. Instead of addressing good legitimate questions about Hanna the only response is to call Tenney names? Is this supposed to convince Republican voters to vote for Hanna?

Do you have any evidence what-so-ever for this? Other than one of Ms. Tenney's unhinged rants?

A clip that touches on the elephant in the room. Why does Mr. Keeler, Ms. Tenney's former campaign manager, now have such a dismal view of her suitability for office?

1. Hanna told women to vote Democrat
2. Hanna politics is Democratic
3. Hanna called Republican leaders extremists
4. The local Democrats refused to put up a candidate even though the district is evenly split between Republicans and Democrats.

Tell me why as Republican why I should vote for Hanna based on his record

Claudia Tenney is a do-nothing, accomplish nothing, self-serving politician, sitting in a NYS Assembly seat with no standing in her
own party.
All she can do is to make up lies to bash her opponent because
she has no record of her own to trumpet.
She will not only be embarrassed in this primary, she will lose
her seat in the Assembly in the general election.

You have been recognized for what you are, Miz Tenney.

Because he's an immature back stabber just like her. Having him as a campaign manager shows what poor judgement she really does possess. She was a total joke as general manager of the family-owned Pennysaver.

I just want a clear statement on why Republicans should vote for Hanna based on his record without the word" Tenney" . Tell me why I should vote for him after calling Republicans extremists and telling women to vote Democrat. Why should Republicans support him?
